I spot clean. And my house is 5,000 sq feet so not super large or super small.

AMEN!! I finally found this comment!! Why isn't anybody talking about how bad those beads are for your clothes...and now her walls, cabinets, and baseboards!?! Besides they really are toxic. Many many many people are allergic to them. If you use them, please don't enter my home, you're putting me at risk of going into anaphylaxis. I'm laying here imagining washing the walls in my new build every week- even if it was every other! I wouldn't have paint! New builds have pretty thin layers of paint- I can still see the drywall pattern in someplaces. I spot clean with water and a little bit of diluted natural cleaner.

@@Pandcakes936 The beads specifically. But even softener leaves a residue on your clothes, thats why your towels are soft. (If you put softener on them.) HOWEVER, they aren't as absorbent as towels that are washed without softener. And the same applies for dryer sheets. Thats just a layer of that stuff on an extremely thin woven sheet. We never put softener on out towels, its so hard to *actually* get DRY from a shower when I visit other people's places, because they soften their towels. They probably think mine feel like sand paper, but at least they wick the water right off of you!

Really? I’ve never heard of anyone washing their walls 🤷🏻‍♀️ where I live we paint them or put wallpaper on them about once every 10 years, I’ve literally never known anyone wash their walls 😳

Dust and water smells really bad to me. I would add a little detergent or disinfectant.

What would you recommend? I like the extension pole for the top of the walls cause that’s just dust but what about the bottoms walls ( I have smalls kids so food crayon hands prints are on the lower parts)

On wooden cabinets I would use warm water and a little Murphy’s oil soap. Absolutely NO beads!! The wood will look fantastic that way! 😉

If I had friends over, she would make them do the dishes and shit HAHAHHA Everyday my sisters and I had a FAT chore list and if friends wanted to come over they had to do them too lol my parents worked full time and there was 4 of us after we took in my best friend after her mom passed away lol so there was always hella people at our house. It was close to the school so we would all walk across the street to our house to smoke weed in the backyard and then go eat all the food in my pantry hahahaha she would be so mad! But yeah definitely the good ol day hahaha I have to say, all that cleaning def prepared me….. my house is always extremely clean and organized so i guess it paid off…. I actually cleaned my cabinets the other day lol and it made me think of that hahahahah

I use the wet swifter and I also use a micro fiber cloth to clean my bathroom mirrors. I gave cleaning hack

I've always used my mop to mop the baseboards as I mop the floor. I'm not bending over. I'm checking out this set. The spin mop is pissing me off lately

It's not I had the same one and the handle broke within two weeks and the bucket doesn't really clean that microfiber pad very well and it's a pain in the butt to go and try to really scrub with it because if you put too much pressure that handle will snap in half where they screw together

@@romiijohnston6668 it doesn't matter if it's for maintaining clean walls already you're still applying pressure to it and unfortunately the way they're manufactured the handle is not robust enough to maintain the constant pressure that is put on that Mop at that particular angle or even if you're trying to use it to even mop your regular for that matter. Cuz the first one I had the handle broke where the plastic pieces intersect one another where you screw it together so I got another one and I be damned if it didn't happen again.. if they were to change the handle design and make the handle more robust it would be a better design if they were to do that and it wouldn't hold up a lot better

But after the 2nd time of dipping your mop you are using dirty water to “clean” your floors . Makes no sense.

@@toniavasseur9574 It didn't mess my walls up. I only use about a capful mixed with a bucket of water. My paint has a gloss texture to it.

Yes once a month or more but once a week is so bad. Spot cleansing is great but not with fabric softener. So bad for your walls and lungs

Lisa you don't want to use the laundry beads on your wall because they have oil in them and if you put that on your wall and you ever go to paint you'll have to use a product called tsp to remove that oil residue before you can paint

I'm not sure how this method works but I tried some of those beads in warm water in a spray bottle and they said to do the same, kind of freshen up your house with spraying curtains, couches, carpets etc. NEVER again 😂😂 Cause the next day I could see that waxy film on some things. Had to reclean everything 🙄🥴 smelled great yes, didn't look too great lolol

They are fabric softener beads for a reason.All these hacks to use them in all different ideas are not good. They are made for a specific reason. I don't want to know what her walls look like in a couple of months.

Elizabeth don't use the scented beads on your walls if you're getting ready to paint you want to use a product called tsp. I work for a paint company you do not want to use those on your wall because the paint will not adhere cuz that will leave a residue and the paint will not stick and eventually it will peel off use the product called tsp it'll remove all the dirt grind and dust and residue off your wall and give you a perfect wall for painting

Yes, it's like a waxy, sticky residue. U could do it every now and then very lightly...but if u do it this much it leaves a layer that u just keep adding to. It doesn't bother her, I suppose

I also would not use those beads on the wall. They are made for laundry ,that's what they are made for.All of these laundry bead hacks are not good. I don't want to imagine what her walls are going to look like in a couple months she's probably going to have a residue all over.
