cleaning my room on some cold autumn nights // dark academia bedroom 

This is a video I was questioning the entire way through creating it. I kept pulling myself back, telling myself nobody wants to see this content, that people will leave my channel disappointed. But I had to just do it and get back on the right track with videos. Even though it is a chill, mundane video, I hope it still entertains you, calms you, motivates you. Whatever you need.

for the stuck candles - maybe put the candle holders in boiling water if they're rust safe, that should melt the wax after some time :)

This video is so nice and cozy 🍂🖤 I don’t know if this makes sense but I felt like this inspired me in a gentle and realistic way for myself in how I can tackle cleaning and organizing my own space. And if you still need help with that candle stick, I’ve had that happen to my mine multiple times. I don’t know if this is the best way to do it but I firstly break off the outer chunks (like you were doing in this video), then I get something pointing (like the prong of a fork or something like a metal toothpick) to try and go around the inside edge and loosen the wax in one piece as best I can. Then I remove the chunk I loosened with said pointy tool and start cleaning out what remaining wax I can with that same tool. I then clean the candlestick by running hot water over it thoroughly, and possibly with soap as well (or whichever cleaning product is appropriate for the type of metal your working with. My candle stick is brass and often just using hot water seems to be fine as long as I dry it right away. I usually do a quick dowse with cooler water so I can handle the metal after.) Writing this out seems like a lot 😅 but I’m a pretty slow person and it’s actually fairly simple for me.

Easiest way to pop out the wax - put the candle holder in the freezer. When the wax freezes it contracts, and you can really just pop it out with a knife once it's frozen!

This was both relaxing and motivating

Didn't bother seeing if anyone else suggested this but just in case no one did, an easy way to remove candles from jars and things they've attached to is to put the whole thing in the freezer for a day. Then all the wax should fall right out. Be careful with the glass, though, because it will be extra fragile when frozen. Also, I use bits of leftover wax to make new candles. I have an Innovations wax melter.

About the wax in the candle holder, try pouring boiling water over the wax. That's what I tend to do with my candle holders, and it works like a charm!

A tip on getting the wax out of candle holders is to put the holder in the freezer - once it's frozen the wax gets brittle and is easy to break up (sometimes it shrinks enough to just pop out without even breaking it up). This is much easier and less messy than trying to melt it in a pot of hot water. Love the video, now I'm inspired to rearrange my bookcase!

an easy trick for candles is you could pop your holder in the oven on very low heat like 200 degrees Fahrenheit for like 1o minutes and you can check on it in-between the wax should melt right out! if you get a paper towel with some nail polish remover or isopropyl alcohol and wipe it out it will take the grimy ness off and your good to go! if you don't want to use an oven you can use something smaller like a conventional oven. you can also take a heat gun and melt it out! if you don't have a heat gun a blow dryer is a good alternative and you can literally blow dry melt the wax and again wipe it out with polish remover or isopropyl alcohol!! honestly I recommend getting a heat gun you can fine good and affordable ones on amazon! they make smaller handheld ones too which are really useful! if you don't want to use any heat sometimes I take my athame and scrape it out! once you get a little bit out the rest usually follows! I hope that helps! happy witching :)

For the candle holders you'll need; a bucket*, an old towel and boiling water. - Remove as much wax by hand as possible before beginning. - Hold one end with the towel and SLOWLY pour boiling water on it, over the bucket. The wax will melt off gradually. - Wipe clean/off the holder with the towel afterwards. - Repeat until the desired result. - Extra step, polish the holder with corresponding polish. I don't know if that explains it well enough, but that's how we do it in restaurants with the metal candlesticks all the time. *Use a bucket or something similar to this, you do NOT want wax down the drain and clog it all up.

You get wax out by immersing the candleholder in boiling water if it can handle being soaked for a bit, the wipe with a rag to remove residue

Put the holders under the faucet, let the water run till it is the hottest it will go. Let it run for a few minutes then turn off the water and let it sit for a few minutes. Take a butter or not sharp knife and pop it out. Most of the time it just comes out and is floating on the top.

Stick your candle stick in the fridge for an hour or too, then use the end of a spoon or something that will fit to scoop it out :) x

For your candle holders, I read you can use a pot on the stove or put them in the oven for 15 min. I've done the oven bit twice and it works.

For the wax, what I do when it happens to me, I put the candle holder in boiling water and wait for the wax to melt. It's probably not the best way to do it but it's the only way I know and it always worked for me. I'm not gonna lie, it's a bit of a mess. You also have to chek if the hot water isn't going to damage the candle holder. Anyway, thank you for the relaxing vidéo !! I really needed it

For all the melted candle bits, you could melt all of it down (in a pot) and then pour it into a jar then add a wick or paddle pop stick to turn it into another candle. Best to find a heat safe jar or an empty candle jar, that way you don’t risk the glass breaking 💕

for the candlestick holders with wax stuck inside, if theyre non pourous then soak them in boiling water the wax should melt and float to the surface leaving clean candlestick holders

maybe someone already said this, but you can put candle holders in the freezer and then it comes out easier. I use a butter knife to chip it out if it doesn't just pop out.

to get out candle wax i usually us a skewer to poke into the middle and it helps loosen up the wax

For the candles stuck inside of the candle holders: try to light them for a bit (or heat them another way if there is no wick), then put the holder in the freezer. The wax should pop right out! It can work if you just freeze them without heating the wax. It just might be a bit harder to get the wax out. You may need to use a knife.

my mom told me the trick of freezing your items that have wax stuck on them to hopefully contract the wax loose from the item. I've only done it with plates and jars! Try it if you haven't already figured it out lol

In order to get the candle out of any container you should fill it up with boiled water and let it sit until cold. You could also use these candles in the jar to make a new one by just melting them and adding a new wick. :)

You can just warm up that part, where the wax is (over a lighter or a stronger flame), and that should take care of that stuck candle bit.
