I recently bought a Tacklife Rotary tool (cheap Dremel!) and have found that it cleans up old coins really well using the wire brush and buffing attachments.
Now I know what you're all thinking... "you're crazy to use a wire brush on a coin!!!", I completely get that! I would never use this method on a really old or valuable coin and I don't recommend it!! But pre decimal pennies, modern coins etc, this works really well on them. You just need to use light pressure and not force it otherwise you will get scratches.

I hope not to make too many videos like this, I would much rather be out in the fields detecting, but unfortunately now due to the crops growing, I am restricted to where I can go. There will be more detecting videos coming though!
