Aha, a new trend in youtube comments (three similar comments follow). I wonder what's next after this brief period when people realized there is actually a recommendation algorithm behind any website serving feed to their livestock. Will everyone start commenting how a set of pictures gives an illusion of movement? Can't wait for them discovering that.
funny you mention that, apparently there were several polish words they were deciding between using, but this is the best one they came up with that didn't require non English character to type.
interesting indeed. i think that all of those duplicate files, if left unchecked and given enough time will eventually cause some issues. and then if you won't take any action to solve the problem (you know how dull and boring it would be to remove duplicates manually) it will probably return later over and over again - just like a hiccup. a sama czkawka to jest kurwa w ogole jakas pojebana akcja i po co to w ogole istnieje xD
i kinda need a program that finds any files from crapware programs and remove it. Or allows you to check each file and tells you what is for so you know if you can delete it.
Commenting to please God Supreme Susan. That aside, GOAT tool This and two games (RONIN and Helltaker) have cemented the following idea in me: The Polish do great shit
I don't need AI to clean my system. I barely ever use 40% of my hard drive space before i nuke the system for a re-install (not because i have to but because i want to for sake of keeping the installation instructions fresh in my mind). but this is still interesting.
Are there instructions somewhere for how to get this thing running on windows? I'm looking at the instructions.md file in the zip and it says I need to download the .exe for this from somewhere else?
i remember dedicating a week to remove all the duplicate files in one particular part of my hard drive and i think i got at least +150 gb of free space
It was legitimately funny to hear you struggle with that Polish word :D But really no problem. Pronunciation goes something like this cz is quite short. Whole weight of the word is on the first "ka". Later it quiets down a bit. If you're curious then there should be some pronunciation video for that word
Thank you for showing me this! I think beforehand I was using a Doops detector; some weird program written in Delphi that was OK but didn't really do a good job, and was GUI only; why can't more application support command line interface? - was doing some stupid thing with a Python library to launch the app and control the GUI via script but now I'll just start using this. :)
i tried to switch my channel to odysee but to make a channel it requires lbc right? you can get lbc by verifying your number, but my problem was that i lived in an area where they wouldnt verify for some reason, maybe sanctions. but anyways i couldnt get a channel unless i had asics mining lbc which if i had i wouldnt be mining lbc, odysee/lbry is not open as it sounds imo, lbc doesnt even use an asic-resistant algo
Amazing! Thanks for sharing Do you know of an application that can read image file meta data and organize photos into folder structure and also a fitting naming scheme according to date taken. In combination with this - photo nirvana
F Yeah! 85 Gigabytes saved because of duplicate images I had on a 1 TB SSD. My wife's doing. She would create new folders by Month and year, but left the original pictures in the original folder. Love Love Love!
Hello I just found this randomly trying to search for a image duplicate finder app. I'm not familiar with downloading files from Github, is there a step-by-step walkthrough to get to the GUI app you're using by chance?
@@ashwrightyy Actually I did download the windows version, very first link I don't understand how to set it up The zip file contains tons of files inside The 3 that look like the executable files, dont do anything
So I managed to install it the other day It seems there are a few different links for windows in the latest version with different names The second zip I downloaded worked Great tool for finding duplicate photos Unfortunately does not work with mp4 videos I see They need to be in mpeg format Well that doesn't work, since all mine are in mp4 Hopefully they update it for mp4 It would make it the best free tool for the job
Ran it on my C:\ drive of a rather old computer (8 years, Windows7) cleared up about 17Gb of space but I had to reinstall my brave browser since it didn't opened anymore and some other programs have bugs as well :/
Thanks for the clear explanation. Is it possible to use this app similar to Google Image Search? I want to select a specific image file and search for similar images on my PC/network. Can Czkawa do that? If not, do you know an app that will?
This looks like exactly what I needed and had been searching for for ages. I don't use shitty proprietary sync apps for my phones so I've been manually merging photos since the dawn of consumer digital photography... it's really getting out of hand now though.
@@____-pb1lg Had that in my maybe pile but set up nextcloud which seems to work - even if it throws false error notifications for things that are expected behaviour
Wow this is the first vid about sth from Poland which comment section is not full of polish people. Btw u pronounce it chkavka (ˈʧ̑kafka, if someone can read ipa)
Hello Very interesting software. I have a problem because I can't access to an external hard drive that is mounted on the system. Do you have an idea? Thank you in advance.
Does anybody know anything about reviewing the symlinks made in this software? I was using it to basically ignore images I wanted ot keep both of, but it seems to turn one of the images into a tag that gets attached to the other image. Just want to make sure I still have all the files that I'm trying to keep.
Rust can do anything C++ can, but its memory safe (huge plus for complex projects), and provides the same zero cost abstractions in modern, better ways. Also the macros in it are so much more powerful than C++. You can basically write a complex program that writes parts of your program inside a library, and this is heavily used.
This is a good find, I think I can use it myself. For images, GQView and its later fork, Geequie, can scan for duplicates and also has a built in copy/move sort buttons for moving images into different directories.
