For the folks yelling for deep cleaning his system, he uses aquarium water to rinse the media off so he doesn’t strip them entirely. He still has a base left behind for his colony to replenish. Also a big difference if cleaning with well water or chlorinated water. Well water isn’t as harmful to bacteria as chlorine which will just about kill everything. Just a thought. I have a koi channel if anyone want to subscribe!
You all prolly dont care but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me
@Kai Will thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
As long as the filter media was washed in de-chlorinated water, the cycle should be fine. The goldfish are beautiful and healthy, I'm sure he knows what he's doing. When I had goldfish I did large water changes weekly as well because goldfish are dirty. Fish will not die without plants.... Goldfish eat live plants sooo....
It's very rewarding after finishing cleaning of the tank you sit back in your chair and enjoy the fish tank of your dreams then you get over that and want to build another fish tank of your dreams it never ends lol
Its better to rinse also the filter sponges with aquarium water because it keeps beneficial bacteria almost like filter media. Cute goldfish though they look like water puppies.
Those are nice ranchus! I have two black moor, one oranda and one ryukin.. will definitely get some ranchu once i upgraded my aquarium 😂 Thanks for this, keep it up!! 👍🏻
Yes it’s exactly how I do mine, just do like he did with the bio-media and use tank water. If you don’t have enough bio media, then wash your sponge 🧽 with tank water instead of tap. Great video!!!
Very nice, but it is advised that you dissolve the salt in water first before adding it to the tank and letting it dissolve on its own bc it will sting the fish
Is that drain on the floor tiles a shower recess at 1:32? I like that canister with pull-out handles (0:58). What brand is it? Also, what is that dark thing youre using to clean the glass at 4:45? Is it a plastic scourer pad used for pots and pans?
Hi, Thank you for sharing great video. I saw you adding aquarium salt in. May I ask what is the purpose you intend? Avoid skin diseases? Keeping fishes calm? And what is a rate? Thanks for your answer in advance.
Hey! So my goldfish has been losing some scales, and they haven’t been growing back even after medicine, any tips? Your goldfish are very pretty and very well taken care of. Good job! I hope to maybe breed mine, but I only have two and am not sure wether there are both male and female, so hopefully I will be able to breed them it seems like a cool job
Hi friend, great video. I got few questions and hope to get your advise on it. 1.what's the size of the aquarium and how many gallons of water? 2.what is the specification of the filter and air pump? 3.how much aquarium salt for this size of aquarium?
i would like to know how big ur tank is bc i will be getting ranchu goldfish in a month (the tank is cycling right now and its 50 gallons) and im planning on breeding them so i would like to know how big of a tank i need for when they are full grown
Love your video, never used aquarium salt on goldfish before...going to check that out before using it...just got my son into the hobby of fish keeping..how long do you leave the salt in there for?

Years ago while raising Guppies I learned something very important. Once I took the lid off the tanks the survival rate of my guppies was very very very good. I did need to put a screen on top to keep them from jumping out. I don't know if this is true for goldfish but for Guppies taking the lid off and giving them more oxygen on the top of their aquarium makes a big big big difference and their survival rate and health. I went from fish dying to almost no fish dying. They were very healthy.
I love canister filter but hate them at the same time because it’s a pain in the butt to start it up again after you clean it I change my filter once a month nice job by the way I have three aquariums I want to get a fourth one
One time we put my fish in a bucket because we were moving them to a bigger tank and one my fish would not stop jumping out, lol. She never does that in the tank though!😂
Recommendations for your future improvement 1. You should add in some nitrifying bacteria into aquarium tank after cleaning up all the filter medias 2. Only adding the salt when the goldfish in sick
