I actually still have one of those. Many older people will remember seeing them being used by the prisoners in the old chain gangs cleaning the sides of roads (thankfully, I never got put into one of those. My family would have killed me!)
Hi Richard.... You and your dear wife are awesome 😊 Richard your a fantastic mechanic I'm so impressed of the thing's you do. And all so your wife. Love you guy's. I use to do detailing long time a go. I still do my own car. It does give you a great feeling to clean a old car like this! Love your vidio's be safe Thank You both🎉❤
The silver pipe looks like a motorcycle exhaust/muffler. And the tool is a sling blade/weed whacker. You swing it from side to side and cut tall weeds with it. Wow! That car was really filthy. Good job getting her cleaned up guys! 👍😎
You are both an amazing what a find and the treasures in that car wow it was Like a pandora box lots of hard work cleaning that car I always injoy your videos very exciting lots of great item found in that car 👍
Richard and Christina’s videos are always so interesting. You never know how they’ll face the next challenge. Thank you both. Can’t wait to see the next one.
Its 5am . I'm up going to a savage yard to pull a front differential out of a jeep for a friend. He's going with so he can get muddy and greasy also lol . Great videos . Keep up the good work. Nothing like getting a old car running that's been left for dead. It's a skill. That is for sure.
Enjoy watching your videos, you two are the best! Christina, I know we’re all anxious to see the interior renovation you got planned. All the best to you both!
Jonathan and I are really enjoying you two discover treasures in the Chevy Shed! My favorite is when you found weapons! ⛏️ Jonathan likes when the film is sped up. Could you add The Benny Hill theme for that? 🤣🤣 I was worried that something would pop out and smack you in the face !😳 You two are so brave!
Watching you both having fun together and clean up your ride is awesome and scary all at the same time. Never know what you can find good or bad. Great video both of you 👍.
I love them old Chevys I got a 1950 four-door that I fixed up years ago still got it still driving it. I put a 283 V8 in it and a 4-speed put a different rear end under it that car is a lot of fun.
That came out of A 1972 Chevy nove the back runner board panel. That covers the speakers up with. That garden tool is called A sling sickle for corn fields.& Bean feilds.&etc. Like cutting down sawblade grass with to.
Good morning! Those rusty tools and hubcaps can be submerged in white vinegar for a few hours or maybe even a few days. It’s amazing to see all the rust that comes off and floats to the top.
Watching this cleanup video brings back memories when I was a kid. Dad would drive his old cars till they would not go anymore and park them out back. They would become a storage area for miscellaneous trash and also his tools that he could not remember were he stored them. We went thru the same process cleaning them out to sell when passed away. Christina quite a trooper getting right in there not afraid getting dirty. I am so happy I found you guys and look forward to your weekly shows being retired to pass time. Thank you and excited to see what you will do on 400.00 budgeted interior!
hi you'al that small hammer is called a ballpinn hammer, primarily for mechanic and metal working and the d looking thing with the handle is a weed wacker. enyoy your show and watching you guy's in action.I,m Michael from Smithville Tennessee!
That’s a bit & brace hand drill, you can still get the bits for it;It is used for precision wood works. The Chevy cleaned up,looking forward to the “WILL IT RUN”Thank You Richard, and Christina for another great video! Take Care, Your Oregon Friend ☮️
Those other tools are called shers.&loppers for 🎄 tree trimming.& Hedge trimming with to. Those all three are name brand hand yard & gardening tools.& Tree trimming.& Bush& hedge trimming tools.
When you finally powerwash that back window. There is something beautiful anout that. Great video. Great content. I think Richard was praying for a rare coin or jewellery under the seats 😊
Great filming you two ! Can't wait for the interior episode, often the case , always looks worse than it is , I would just repair it and run it , thanks for sharing, great fun !
I had no doubt you were a warrior Christina. Your just lovely and Richard ( I’m sure he knows ) is a lucky fella to have a gal that isn’t afraid to dig into his ( and her ) passion. 👍🇨🇦
The Saginaw 4 speed great find. I've had them. But for the quarter mile Saginaw 3 speed behind a small block work best for me. Definitely a market for that 4 speed. Glad the two of you are enjoying the videos
Wow the car was full of stuff I bet the suspension raised a few inches. The dash came up so well, I can imagine getting in the car brand new and seeing the chrome reflections.
Right, it must have looked amazing when new. It wasn't too many years later that such a large amount of chrome disappeared from dashboards, It is a shame. Chromed plastic just isn't the same.
That tool that you had your hand to use that through the woods making paths or anything like that because weeds stuff like that down it works real good really really does he swing it sideways
Could not believe she did not put up her hair digging in all that crud! Funny they spent time polishing the chrome and you can fall through the floors! Surprised the body does not separate from the frame with little flooring to hold it.
Looks like the car was treated as a 4 wheel storage shed! Lots of good stuff in there. I like to take a tape measure and go from the road to bottom of bumper. After I removed all of the junk,I take another measurement! Hope that you can get the car running.
If you drop the door handle out of the door, there is a four digit code on the plunger with which you can easily have another key cut....if the car is still original, the key will also be correct for the ignition, glove box and trunk. The "odd" hammer is called a ball-peen.
Thanks for the info on the door lock. I will do that. the hammer is not a usual ball peen. IT has a very odd design that must have been purpose built for something.
If you want to clean something get some Grease Lighting from wallmart. Wear gloves and eye protection. Nothing stops Grease lighting. Cool old car. I had a51 pontiac chieftain. Flathead strait 8. The shape coming back in to fashion. Good luck
