I am in love with these model years. Nothing runs so sweet as a Chevy 6. If I could, I would buy this car new. Sadly, nothing is made today with this much character. Thanks to both of you

I viewed a post by Theetravish where he purchased a 1960 Chevrolet and drove it to Arizona and he had a video where he wet sanded the rust off of the trunk and the rust off the roof with wet/dry sandpaper and it really turned out great. I have a 1946 GMC 11/12 ton truck and it has a great amount of rust up on the top and trying to sand that rust off dry really eats up the sanding disc and as the discs wear out all they really do is polish the rust (I mean that rust is thick). Most likely I will have to treat that rust with molasses. But I can see where you could possibly wet sand the roof on that car and other parts and probably get down to the black paint. Of course one has to know where to stop lest they sand through the top coat of the paint. Of course that car has come a long way and it will look better and better as you improve it.

hey rich, you can use marvel mystery oil and #0004 steel wool to clean the chrome on the bumpers. that beast kind of has the doc hudson look to it. awesome save.

Such an incredible job on this truly amazing car. The interior looks very well done with a great attention to detail. All the work you both put into the exterior was definitely worth the effort 👌. I think the slot mags look the best the chrome steels would look perfect on a 55 and up chevy. Fantastic work on this car both of you.

I think even the 50 parts car would make a cool rat rod instead of parting out.. put some makeshift floors in and just do mechanicals. I'd love to own a car like that to just have something cool & affordable to putt around in! Maybe someday!?

Back in 1980 my friend picked up a 62 Thunderbird with really oxidized blue paint. After working on that paint for 2 weeks it looked like a show car. A year later we dud the same thing to my 70 Thunderbird sport coupe. We loved showing off thise cars around Massachusetts. That was so long ago. You both did an excellent job on your car!

I think it looks fantastic. Some do not care for the way cars are done like you have. Compare the cost to paint and all you want is it to be protected and cared for. You are not going to put Lula in a show comp she will always be your driver the way you want. I really love how it came out. Good Job Christina & Richard.
