Check to see if something was dropped in the toilet. That's what happened to me. Toilets don't stay clogged, unless there is a foreign body staying in there. I had a toilet that kept clogging and nothing would stop this repetition and unclog it for good. It would clog for no good reason and wouldn't unclog when normal procedures (dumping a large bucket of h2o down the bowl, plunger, this gun thing, the big augure thing, nothing) should have done the job. I had to remove the toilet all together and we found a toothbrush had somehow gotten into the toilet, which would from time to time gather up all the TP and clog things up.

Done that. Broke my pipe as it cant withstand the pressure changes.

💡A safety note: Never add water TO lye/caustic soda/sodium hydroxide/NaOH, ALWAYS add the sodium hydroxide TO the water. Reason for those who don't know is that NaOH + water creates an exothermic reaction, meaning it generates heat, which is even more intense if the ratio of the NaOH over the water is too high. So the reaction is needlessly, damagingly, even dangerously too intense if the initially small amount of water comes into contact with a larger amount of NaOH. When I mix a basic neutralizing solution at work, I use 140g in a 5 gallon jug, always adding the 140g/5oz of NaOH crystal/pellets slowly sprinkling into the 5 gal jug, then capping and shaking for at least 5 min, then setting aside until cool/reaction complete. I would advise something like this for drains, although the measurements may need to be different. Anyway, just needed to point out the detail of NEVER NaOH 1st! Too hot!

Black drain PVC is rated at 300-600spi depending on size. No amount of pressure that someone is making at home is going to burst that.
