Awesome Video! You really don't need to use down riggers or dodgers or flashers on that lake. You can also use a variety of lures and baits. 12-13 in. is your average size. Last time I was on there I saw a carp come right up to the surface next to my kayak! I didn't even know those were in there, its not even listed on the WDFW page, maybe someone put it in there, like some have on Long Lake. Fish on!!
I wish they would reduce the number of trout they stock in that lake. Size and quality would go up. And more importantly (in my opinion) it would give the Kokanee they stock more of a chance.
Kokanee and rainbows mostly feed on different food. Sockeye are plankton eaters on the thermocline. Trout get almost all their calories from emergent chironomids, and fresh water shrimp, as well as the occasional fish once they get larger.
