I don't think I get HD, but I do get a handful of channels. That's strange that you didn't get any. How far do you live from the towers?

My question - are you happy with the 4 channels or disappointed? I got about 8...some duplicate and some not always clear. That being said since I didnt have any before the antenna - I'm pretty happy.

@@Jeffreviews4u I am happy. It's better than nothing. I live too far away from my local stations. There are also some live TV which comes out on youtube.

These antennas are fickle. Location is important but also structure of the house is important. A lot a variables. I only got a handful of channels I'd watch. Roku would get you more. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I live in NY and I have a regular rabbit ears antenna . I got 56 channels and paid only $2.99 for it 😀

I'm going to look into the mohu curve. Are the channels any good?

Jeff reviews4u: I got all the channels that Mohu Curve packaging box claims. They have these channel logos on the box. I got all of them. The basic local popular ones. I also got 5 music channels too and surprisingly it detected whole bunch of channels from New Jersey even though I live in New York. The funny thing is I got few movie channels that I did not expect ... not to mention it is for the basement TV. The antenna is placed underground. I don’t know if it is the antenna or the location but it’s worth it for me at least. I would say out of 59 channels it detected, I would trash 12 channels that are in other languages but the rest is enjoyable as you flip through them like a cable TV. I also like the design of the device, it blends in with my white furniture. The antenna runs through wall-power or USB. A good day to install, lot of Saturday movies today. You should definitely try it out for the sake of trial and error reasons.

I completely understand that. I erred on the side of caution with RU-vid's copyright rules. They are pretty strict. Thanks for the feedback.

You can show just a couple seconds of them or blurring out the pic. Doesn't really help those of us that want to see if it's worth our money

@@foty73 You can see a full review and the channel's on the freaking reviews channel. You can review music, film,sports so i am not sure, this would give Jeff a strike. We're i live we can get access to IP Tv, with a VPN service. But i don't know much about the rules in USA. Have a nice day all

@@barbrovirtanen2921 isn't that what this is? A review of the app? Plenty of people make review vids and either show either 2-3 seconds of the stream or blur the stream out to avoid copyright strikes. Im not the only one that feels the same way. And why does he like his own comments?

The directions state, the closer you are to the broadcast tower the better.

true, I find if I move the antenna around (not necessarily near the window) I can pick up other channels or improve reception. Thanks for the comment.

Also, take a paperclip and bend it straight out. Wrap aluminum foil on the end to increase the length. I pull 10 channels with it on another T.V. Just remember, antennas are just pieces of metal cut different to pick up VHF (RF 2-13) or UHF (14-36) channels. There’s no such thing as “HD frequencies”. UHF needs an antenna that is 4 inches to a foot long. High VHF needs an antenna that is 1.3 feet to 3 feet long. Low VHF needs an antenna that is 6-10 feet long.

I totally get that, RU-vid has this huge copyright rule we are not supposed to show anyone else copyrighted material

There are apps that give you directions to the closest towers

The TV has to have a coaxial jack, hook it up, then run the auto scan.

Yeah, you have to be within 30 miles of the broadcast tower. Closer = better reception.

Even without a tear away I'd still return it if I didn't want it.

I've had others mention that. I erred on the side of caution when it comes to YTs copyright rules. That being said it definitely was not HD quality and I have to move the antenna around to get certain channels. I will say the picture on the channels that came in were pretty clear. Hope this helps.

That should have the whole idea of the review. To actually show how well the thing works. The fact that he never did that lets you know the thing is garbage.

If your close enough to the towers, the quality is the same whether you use a paper clip or a $200 Antenna. The only difference is you'll get way more channels. If you get blur or choppy picture it's because it's just not strong enough to pull the channel in properly. No such thing as a HD or a 4k antenna. Its just a gimmick.

The functionality of this item relies on being within 30 miles of the broadcasting tower. It's all about location. I'm not sure what is near you.

@@entertainmentvidz you typically will only get abc, NBC, CBS, CW, and fox just to name a few. This will not pick up channels that are specific to cable.
