Thanks for the great video!! I just bought a xc60 yesterday and am off to get a code scanner now. fingers crossed the airbag light switches off permanently :)
Mine came on and I shut the car off and turned It back on and It went away by Itself so Idk. 2015 V60 D5 AWD Ocean Race Poleastar. I had that happen on my 2002 S60 aswell and It was loose connector under the seat. This error Is not rly a big deal.
Hi, I got the Launch Creader 4001 which looks very similar to your Code reader ,however it didn't read the SRS error for some reason. I actually have got no idea why it came up in the first place as I was hardwiring a dash cam today and soon after I got this code (I didn't even turn the ignition on). I hope I didn't do any short circuit, but who knows...
Hello David thank you for posting this video. I have the same problem with urgent airbag service on dashboard that wont go away but with Xc60 2009 will this device work with my car as well? TIA
Yes. When you look at Autel code readers web site make sure that it says it will clear those particular codes as they are a seperate module. Also after purchasing one you may have to install an update which is a bit of work that requires patients.
Hi. I have a 2001 volvo v70. All I did was take in and out a few fuses and I lifted the cover of the air filter and put it back on now my SRS airbag light is on. Do you think I can clear it with a code reader?
Going back 5 years and you would need a special code reader not an OBD II code reader, Now the code readers are all inclusive but they start at $400 and go up if you want one that is for Volvo or Includes Volvo.
The code will keep coming back if the problem was more that a glitch. An SRS code reader will tell you where the report is coming from but, assuming the module or sensor is defective and throwing parts at it is not the right thing to do. If no accident was ever involved, then typically a reset will fix the issue.
I must refer you to one of the Volvo Parts Warehouses to look up your part number as they change from year to year and sometimes intra year. www.volvopartswebstore.com/ www.volvopartshub.com/
Recharge the battery, remove the front bumper and manually detach the hood. This will give you access to the battery. Use a door opener kit sold at Fred Meyer or a long fishing stick with some elbow grease and the door will open eventually.
Thanks for posting this video. I have an iCarsoft and have been happy with it too. If you still have the DiCE interface and you would like to sell it please let me know.
Well ... I just gave the Dice hardware away. Sorry. I gave it to L&B Auto as they have helped me so much with free advice and free work over the years.
Mine didn’t come on until I allowed Walmart tire department to replace an air pressure tire sensor, they said it was on before they replace it. I would have seen it . You get what you pay for .lol
Sorry, I do not know how to clear the code without a reader. I try not to go to the shop and DIY what ever I can because of experiences like the one you had.
The force of the airbag being deployed can damage your jaw, nose and eyes. Broken bones in the face and permanent scarring can be the result of airbag deployment. In some cases, eye injuries were severe enough to result in temporary or permanent blindness
@@A_Renaissance_Man I believe there is a recall for it. We are getting this warning and the radio cuts out when turning the wheel. I believe our issue is the clock spring.
So the airbags won’t deploy who cares. I don’t want an airbag hit me in the face anyway. The force of the airbag being deployed can damage your jaw, nose and eyes.
