So usefull , exactly explained with a clear english accent . Thanks alot guy , after watching this video , I could repair the immo of my car with replacing a new antenna coil .
@@AutomotiveDiagnosis I have the same problem with my Suzuki Baleno/esteem, for the 1st time I was let down by the car, it didn't start whatever I tried. So connected my obdII scantool and I got these 2 codes,I also used the other key same result no start: ECM ( Engine Control Module ) P1623 Unregistered Transponder Current ECM ( Engine Control Module ) P1621 Immobilizer Communication Line Error. Any input from you or other viewers very welcome on how to solve this problem.I am in dire need of my car.Thanks.
Dude that’s basically what I did but I tapped whole key to the bottom well zip ties it inside the whole on top n used my house key to start my car it is dangerous cuz the theft like u said but yeah I’m happy cuz I figured it out like two three months ago alone but I got a brand new parts n I’m safe but my car went ever where still work etc thank god but it made me happy cuz u did basically same thing but all nice n neat mine got fuxkeed up cuz my key got stuck broke in half drilled it out duxkeed it up smh then to where I just had the cylinder lock n drive it no problem until I got payed for new one thank u good night ❤🎉 I’ll rate u 100

My 2009 chevy express was stolen and I replaced the complete ignition switch assembly with the correct key and immobilizer antenna but still no crank/no start. Tried the 10 minute 3 cycle a dozen times but can't get the security light to turn off or even blink. Wprking on it for 3 weeks now and still no crank/no start. Checked all fuses and relays. Please help if you can. THANKS

This is probably a stupid question, but if it disables power to the fuel pump can you not just take the fuel pump relay out and jump it with a wire manually, assuming it has a relay for that?
Hi my friend. 4 digit PIN code is used for the emergency starting and you can enter it by scan tool. So you need to save the 4 digit PIN code first, then you can inactive the immo for 30 seconds for starting the engine in case of immobilizer failure. For the 6 digit code, you can get it from the dealerships or some vin to pin software.
Can you take the chip out in put it into another key i bought a ignition lock cylinder it came with keys i got it off ebay i got a 2007 kia amanti i put the new ignition lock cylinder in and car wont start can i program it myself leaving in the on position for 10mins and 30 seconds and turn off repeating the same process
Hi my friend. For programming you need to have a scan tool. But if you have the previous key of your car (the one which was registered) you can take the chip out from that one and put it into the new key.
Hi my friend. Removing the immo fuse is not gonna help. You won’t be able to start the car until your engine control module receives the immo verification code.
Is it true that every time you use that reprogramming machine , you get charged by different vendors to allow you the use of programming and the reprogramming of the parts.
Hi there, not for every programming. Most of them can be done with scan tool without any charge. But for some cars you need to have access to a technical website to get the programming software and that’s what you need to pay.
Hi my friend, start by collecting the immobilizer workshop manual for those cars you are interested in, read them all and try to understand the system configuration and operation. It will help you get to know the system and how to diagnose it.
I dropped my car key and it fell apart. I gathered the parts without finding the transponder, now I got a major problem. Can I take my key to a locksmith without my car and have him put a new matching transponder in without my car present?
Hi there, if you have the second registered key, they might have a tool to copy the registered key and make a new one (not everyone knows how to do that), otherwise you have to take your car to a locksmith as they must program the new transponder to the immobilized and engine ECM.
I enjoyed your detailed explanation, very informative. However I have a Renault Modus 2005 which won't start, because the immobilizer light stays on when inserting a key and turn it on to start nothing happens. What could be the problem, because I can remotely lock and unlock the doors with the key as usual. Please help.
We had to replace a the steering lock on a 08 plate seat leon. I figured out that the antenna is common and not coded, just like you said it just relays the information from the transponder(chip) to the module then ECU to check if they match up? is that correct? although it may become faulty there is NO CODE relevant to the antenna? thanks for your explanation.
Hi there, thanks for sharing your experience. Yes, that’s correct. But sometimes transponder antenna and immo control unit are integrated into one unit which in that case we might need to reprogram the keys.
My alarm dont want to go off it keeps on making a funny noise ,my window cant go up if i press the button for the window to roll up then the alarms goes on making the normal alarm noise
the video is very interesting. Thank you. I would like to ask if it is possible to use an oscilloscope to check the communication signal between the transponder chip and the antenna coil? or check the antenna signal information via immobilizer control instructions
We can use the oscilloscope to check the waveform between transponder antenna and immobiliser control unit. I will try to make a video from that very soon.
Hey this is a long shot but my car was recently broken into. All they did was steal stuff and then smash my immobiliser transponder coil. I've been searching all over for the part but it seems to old to find another for my car. I was wondering if there was any way I'd be able to build my own coil and reconnect it. Or any way to fully disable the immobiliser.
@@AutomotiveDiagnosis Yes. I'm thinking about trying to just put it back with some wire and try. I only see the copper in the ring and not coming out of the other piece. Any advice 😬?
Would it be possible to swap on a car the antenna coil and put another from the same model of car with a matching transponder and original key cut? Ive been told to replace bcm because it triggered the alarm. I just need to deactivate alarm y order to program new key
You didn't mention anything about the connection between the fuel pump and the immobiliser unit. Is it simply relay control or something not that straight forward.
Fuel pump is controlled through the ECM, so, there is no direct connection between the fuel pump and immo unit. Basically immo unit communicates with ECM and the rest is on ECM.
This fault happens when there is a problem is PCM and Immobilizer unit communication. So you need to check the Immo connector, wiring between Immo and PCM. You may have faulty Immo unit or PCM too, but check the connectors and wires firstly.
I will look into it for you and will let you know if I find any straightforward solutions. Normally there are a couple of different ways for finding the code, some tools read the code, there some software and some websites. Anyway I will check it for that model.
Hi there, for Hyundai and Kia vehicles you have to swap ECM, Immo control unit and the Key. But they all must be from a very same model and sometimes programming is needed too.
@@hitone4319 4 digit PIN code must be registered by OEM scanner to the immobilized control module. It’s not something that you can get from someone. But you must remember this code is different from the 6 digit PIN code that we use for the key programming.
@@AutomotiveDiagnosisThen that info is useless as I don't and can't have access to the 4-pin code. The 6-pin code won't be of any help as it cannot help with starting the car. I thought I could program&reprogram the 4-digit code as needed.
@@V21IC I think you didn't get the point. For programming the keys, you only need the 6 digit pin code and you can do it with many different scanners or key teaching devices. the other code (4 digit) which is used on Hyundai & KIA is only for emergency starting, only if immobilizer is not working and you don't have access to any help. 4 Digit pin code is not used that often and you can't use it for Immo general operation!
Thanks 🙏 Normally when you upgrade the ignition switch to a push button start, you will still have your immo under the dash and you need to tape the chip around the antenna coil to inactive the immo. I don’t really recommend this kind of upgrade as it is not really secure system for the car.
Good video brother. Im very NEW to immobolizer systems brother and just wondering if the transpoder chip has the Key Code or is it separate??? If so, then what numbers does the transponders chip hold compared to the Pin number. Thank you
Hi my friend. When you register a key, transponder chip identification number will be saved inside the immobilizer control module (and in many cases ECM too), so the next time that you want to start the engine, immobilizer checks to see if the transponder number is same as what is already saved initially. If they are similar, engine will start.
