Since I had to clear out my pole beans, I decided to sow some bush beans along the back garden fence. I had to remove the bush beans I sowed a while back because the potatoes were growing out over them. Also, they seemed to require a little support, so the location wasn’t good.
In order to sow the beans, I had to remove all the lemon balm since they’re not good companions. I really don’t need rows of herbs, so I’m redoing the herb garden. It was nice to see all the herbs growing together, but growing beans will be a better use of the garden space.
When you remove lemon balm and mints, you have to dig down to make sure you get it all out. So hopefully I succeeded in removing it completely, but if one pops up, I can easily remove it.
I removed the mint because I know the new raspberries will eventually take off and spread.
