Another excellent Sally interview. Thank you Michael, this series continues to be really helpful. Much appreciated 👍🏻 I hope you are doing well. Cheers from Switzerland 👋
Siempre es un descanso poder escuchar a Sally en todas sus entrevistas. Sentirme un poco más tranquila, que no estoy loca, de que todos mis síntomas están relacionados con los oxalatos y que voy a estar bien en algún momento
Thank you for this excellent info, I'm learning so many new things from this channel. Sally's discussion about the lungs was timely. Six months into heavy oxalate clearing (have been following the protocol in Sally's book since January) I developed a lung abscess despite not feeling at all sick and being in excellent health. The lung doctors were baffled and suggested it was a resurgence of a latent disease since it was unusual to develop this disease in high summer and my vital signs, including O2 levels were normal. I've had several severe lung infections as a child. I'm not 100% certain but suspect this resurgence may be oxalate clearing related.
That sounds like classic Oxalate clearing. Take a site of previous injury or inflammation/infection which experience has shown us will accumulate Oxalate at greater concentration. Then stop eating oxalates and the body starts clearing it out. I know I’m speaking to the choir but I really appreciate your share and I’ve heard Sally talk about abscess in the skin but not in a lung. Fascinating and sorry you’re having to deal with that but great that you’re still feeling well! Keep us posted!
Please make a video about oxalates and the intestines : Contribute to increased absorption of oxalates: - intestinal permeability - fat malabsorption - inflammatory bowel conditions - damaged villi due to gluten sensitivity How to deal with it?
Great advice, thanks so much. Sally's book has turned my whole world on its head (I was learning and teaching about how to grow vegetables) I won't be growing potatoes anymore, that's for sure! Really important work to get out to the world. Thank you both 🙏
i feel like clearing oxalates now, low appetite and huge herpes blister on my mouth. I used to have those all the time with my heavy chocolate eating.. Thank you for sharing with us Micheal this was helpful to hear! Sally is awesome!!
can hives or eczema be a dump? 21/2 years no/low ox and carnivore and getting terrible hives all of a sudden. I’m at war!. Never mind. i listened further in and she mentions hives. Fascinating. All praises to Sally.
Great question even though you got your answer! I’ve been in Carnivore for four years now and I still get weird skin stuff. And I have scabs all over my low back since October. My best guess is my bodies clearing ox lets out of compression fractures in my lumbar spine. But who knows it could be coming out of my organs or something else…
@@michael_mathieu_vibrant_health My issue is really knowing if these type of things are popping up due to a dump…or if they would have happened at any time. Even if I had never changed my diet to carno. The skin condition has gotten so much worse and the various areas look different from each other. Its covered my face, also on arms and legs. Hard to know if to power through this and hope it clears up, or go to the doctor. Not always sure I completely trust doctors and what they would want me to take- so I have some things to figure out. 🤷🏻♂️
@@pixelkat1819 I can tell you the doctors will give you stuff to suppress the body reactions and make it chronic and long lasting problem. Husband had rash, got a cream and it just came back after he stoped to use it. Now he knows it will go away on its own...just wanted to share my story, all the best to you!
@@michael_mathieu_vibrant_health do you have any suggestions on ways of calming down a dump? My skin has really broken out, red, dry parches that itch so much I could bleed if I scratch them to much. All over my face and both arms. Difficult to sleep. Taking a antihistamine to,see if that would help. So far not. Was wondering if there were any techniques to maybe calm this down…if it is a dump?
@@pixelkat1819 have you tried eating some extra oxalates? Like a two tea bag cup of tea, 2 tablespoons of sweet potato, etc. Sally gives other examples in her book. Another one is doing 250 mg of vitamin C twice a day
I have this same thing with the coming and going of anxiety Michael. It's really tough for me too. It feels like Frodo putting on the ring at times. I found out that heavy supplementen of potassium citrate helps with this. Six times 800 mg spread over the day really helps me to lower the anxiety.
Michael i like to ask you if you know anyone who does Blood flow restriction training ? trying to gather info for myself so i can grow more muscle tissue... for me recovery is long time process, i like mild exercise . anyone reading this please share your knowledge, thank you!
Can you tell me what Sally would think about using castor oil on the skin? I used to use it but now I don't know if it would intefere with my health. Thank you. Blessings.
I’m curious what your symptoms are? Also have you tried all the different meats that are out there? Like 100% grass fed for beef and lamb and all the different fish? And I just ask those questions because I know Georgia Ede only has a few different animal foods that she can eat. Also, have you explored CIRS? Chronic inflammatory response syndrome. I’m currently exploring that path for myself. It’s another name for mold toxicity/biotoxin illness there are a lot of other biotoxins besides Mold. Judy Cho does an excellent interview with Dr. Alan Grunning. I think he talks in that interview about how he says food allergies go away when people get the biotoxins cleaned up. There is a simple $15 visual contrast sensitivity test that can be a pretty strong indicator if this is an issue for you and I think the website is vcstest.com
Question: The process of gluconeogenesis in the body (the production of glucose from scratch when blood sugar levels are low) can activate enzymes associated with elevated oxalate levels. Thus, during gluconeogenesis, the process by which the liver produces glucose at low blood sugar levels, the activity of certain enzymes (apparently AGT) is activated, potentially leading to increased oxalate levels. The oxalate production pathway is as follows: Gluconeogenesis -> Serine via AGT > Alanine via AGT -> Glycine via DAO -> Glyoxylate -> Oxalate So when sugar levels are low (due to fancy interval fasting, infrequent Keto meals, etc.) the liver starts producing oxalate? This is a question to the fact that we pay attention to diet, but often forget about endogenous production.
Please ask in the next video about this thesis: "Following a carnivorous diet, people often associate the exacerbation of symptoms with problems associated with oxalates. They believe that by not consuming oxalates, their body removes them from the body - a process called "dumping". However, this is an erroneous opinion. In fact, if the diet includes an increased intake of substances such as glycine and hydroxyproline (from meat), there is a chance that the body will produce more glyoxalase, which can eventually turn into oxalate. This is especially true for those who are not metabolically healthy."
Greetings. You give very useful information. Are you asking questions from the comments or just from the book so far? There is a question: Oxalic acid can be produced in the body endogenously from some amino acids contained in collagen and gelatin. During injuries, operations or sports, the level of free amino acids in the body may increase, which leads to an increase in the production of endogenous oxalic acid. Does this mean that sports such as bodybuilding (when there is a strong destruction of muscles and an increase in collagen) contribute to an increase in oxalates?
