A perfectly acceptable and proven method which I use myself but there will always be some that you cannot persuade! Nice demo.

I’m a Makita man always have been but i did not like this blower the intake is on the left and the 4stroke is nowhere near as snappy on the power as a 2stroke . It sounds really harsh and rattly and all the buttons and switches feel cheap . If you have to go petrol get a stihl, husky or echo but I’d suggest battery power the ego stuff is good value i’ve gone husky and the blower is great .

Is there any danger of contaminating uncapped honey?

No. Its just a stream of filtered air.

I’ve seen this done by a bee farmer and it was mayhem. Didn’t look good, I must say. Not necessary for the hobby beek, for sure.

Yes. Definitely only needed as a time saving method. Hobby beekeepers are definitely better suited to clearing boards
