They don't use it here in Melbourne. They just let the grass grow and look like crap.

Meanwhile the grass and road gravel are so thick along the road that the rain water can’t go down into the ditch but instead travels down the side of the road and turns right down my driveway. Floods my yard and has almost flooded the house several times.

You would be surprised at the ingenuity of some city, county and/or state highway workers. This is a great idea, but being invented by workers doesn't surprise me at all. Well done!

It's not to clean the road it's to keep water from puddling on it,we made something similar out of an old dozer blade.

Here in PA, no road crew works at night unless they are getting paid triple time.
