Please do the drill into your roof until you find the signal on your channels works in all weather conditions and you are happy with the antenna being there for life.

Dylan, thanks for putting that out there. We do advise folks to check the reception, number of channels and towers, before permanently installing the mast, and this is included in our user guide as well.

I just bought this antenna and the tutorial was a godsend. The antenna is not difficult to set up but I prefer to watch a video instead of reading a written instruction. This made the assembly easy and trouble free. Thanks for the excellent vid!

I have to 2nd this....watching this video made it a lot easier, as the written instructions weren't always clear. A lot of it was common sense, but videos are always better. I am planning to install in my attic tomorrow

I just bought this at BJ's for $69.00 I am not sure if it comes with the 20" mast with this version. I am looking forward to seeing about this improving my performance in the Nashville area. I have a few channels that I can not confidently set to record with my Tablo Quad. We shall see.

I have the previous 4max then came without the dipole. Can I purchase a dipole for it ?

I've read that all outdoor antennas need to be grounded in case of a lightning strike. How come there is no mention of this or how to do it in your video ?

Hi Chris, Antennas Direct recommends grounding an outdoor antenna and grounding must performed in accordance with National or Local Electrical Codes. We changed the assembly instructions to metric but have not had a chance to update the assembly video..

Do you point the side with the reflectors towards the broadcast towers?

Hey Nick, the reflectors are on the back of the antenna and the enhance signal performance to focus the antennas power towards the front of the antenna. I hope this helps! The instructions that come with the antenna aren't so hot AND This video is almost as bad. WHY? Turn Off The Music, slow down the video and talk slower and be more precise. Remember, the people watching this video have never seen this antenna before. Also, WHY don't you put the 4 wing nuts on the loop elements BEFORE you attach them to the antenna. My Large Paws had a hard time trying to get those little wing nuts on After the antenna was already installed. (Would make Everyone's job Much Easier) Just my opinion.
