I have been very happy with both of these antennas and the manufacturer claims for range seem to be accurate for a wide range of antennas around me. Very important to remember that we also need to use a signal amplifier, if we need this long distance antenna in the first place The Winegard LNA-200 amplifier works very well for me over 5 years now. I am able to double my number of available stations by using a signal amplifier, mounted directly below the antenna on the mast (closer to the antenna the better). My coax run is 70 feet from the antenna down to the tv, which decreases signal strength too. Plug in the amplifier power down by your tv, running your coax through that unit, and the low volt power then runs up the coax to power the amplifier unit on the mast. While pointing somewhat towards the 70 mile away antenna, (signal strength -71) it's a great picture, however in comparison, I'm not able to pull in a 60 mile away antenna, (signal strength -82) even if pointing directly at it.
