I really feel like Tav has chucked it altogether. I think because he was linked with the move to Saudi Arabia has played a part in this. He thought he was away to a mega increase in his wages to top up his pension and it fell through, so he feels he can just turn out and not bother to even run back anymore. Muscat was my pick originally, he knows the eastern market and is a winner wherever he has went as manager. An ex Ger as well, so he knows what the culture should be and no one would mess him around. I like his style of play and he always operates on a tight budget but delivers. Thay said Clement is who we got so I bave tried hard to back him, in spite of feelings he was the wrong one. I still hope he can turn it around because thebstate of things doesn't help anyone.

Due to his style he wouldnt tolerate players walking around as that breaks his system. As we saw against them on sunday, when we pressed them for about the first 10 minutes we looked the much better side. Celtic can not deal with pressing, they never could, there classic bullies, slap them in the face and they fall apart. Its why in europe they get ripped to shreds by minnows regularly as they get shown zero respect and pressed. If we do sack clement this season id go back in for muscat or a manager who's style is a pressing one. Steve g pressed celtic also, its a must, you cant sit off them.

Gulf between the squads/clubs is as big now as it was in 2016 when we got back into the Prem, to assemble a squad capable of winning an undefeated league title and getting to a European final in those 8 years and now be back to where we were before is criminally unforgivable and just shows what a mess has been made since 2020/21.
Beale used a far more compact 4-3-3 narrow. It’s the same formation and system that Gerrard used. It made us far more competitive in these Old Firm games. We were never embarrassed 3-0, or 4-0. In fact, Beale beat Ange’s Celtic team in 3-0 and McGregor looked shellshocked that day. Cantwell ran Celtic ragged. The regression since then is staggering. I don’t think these players have any faith in Clement because his tactics don’t work, he won’t ever change, and so he basically throws the squad under the bus every week. Is it any wonder so many of them look unhappy or want out?

With 3 defenders you protect the goal and the balls pass to Furuhashi in depth in a possible wrong transition. you also free up the two full-backs to mark Maeda and Kuhn without leaving a defensive hole, and 4 midfielders to provide protection on the sides and inside.

The a fact that Tav is not as fast as he used to be. Bit if the players are being asked to do other things they are not accustomed to, things need to be learned. Celtic are far better and it needs to be accepted. We need far better defenders and at least one guy who can put the ball in the net. Postigoclu made a great team and the new manager has just fallen into a very well built team. I agree the team is tactally poor and have not improved whatsoever. But this is down to lack of funds, nothing more and nothing less.
Let's be honest the biggest difference is the partnerships on the pitch, how many times has that midfield played together, once, Tav and Cerny, 3 times, Jefte and Matondo, twice, Propper with Souttar, twice. They've got a team that's played together for years, this doesn't happen over night.
Tav calling fans a disgrace is laughable. He’s been shot for nearly 2 years now and is a liability defensively. He’s been a good player for us but he’s at fault for most of the goals we concede. I agree mate. I'm surprised no one has made a video montage of all the defensive blunders Tav has made over the past 8 years. There are videos showing all his goals, but I'd love to know the number of goals he's cost us. It's massive. And nearly all have been in big games, where Old Firms, trophies, or European qualification is at stake. So the financial impact of his blunders would also be interesting to learn. Tav, Dessers, Matondo, and Souttar should be shipped out in the next window IMO. Balogun has to start every week. Drop Tav, put Sterling to right-back. And bring Hagi, Lowry, and possibly Devine back into the fold; all three are just as good as what we have, if not better.

A little bit of perspective. The value of our squad now is £40m short of Celtics. Even after them selling one of their best players. The squad value Gio had was over double what we have now and on par with them.
Based on Transfermkt valuations ? These can be notoriously misleading . Trabzonspor thought they were getting 10m worth of free players . Tav is still valued at 6.5m euro he will be 33 and is clearly done . Our squad is only worth what others will pay for them and if interested clubs can't afford their wages there in lies the rub . That is being addressed this season . Instant success comes at a premium and is never guaranteed. Squad values on Transfermkt mean hee haw . Wage bills mean everything if your squad are not delivering.

The valuations don't equate to actual fees and only updated twice a year. Expect Tavs, barasic, lunny etc to fall very quickly. Our wage bill for the past few seasons does not depict reality at all.
How do you know? The only people what will know what's in his contract are PC, his agent and the Chairman. There's likely to be a clause that says if you leave you get x, if we sack you get y. That said it wouldn;t surprise me but on the plus side RW the lord of horrible contracts has long gone.

Tactics on Sunday were to blame for the shocking performance, the players are not as bad as we are making out. we have some good players but definitely need more, we should be able to compete and beat all the teams in Scotland including Celtic if the team is set up and organised properly.
Clement, like most top league managers, believes 100% in his football philosophy. He always believes in his system, and what the players must do to make it work. Why every manager since Gerrard has failed to overcome outrageous levels of player injury I don't know. What did Gerrard do that they can't implement? the tactics initially caused massive problems that had we been more clinical would have led to 2 goals,however as is the way with a good team they adapted to the early press and picked us apart leading to both their diasallowed and legit opening goal,after that we seemed to fall apart from any plan that was in place and lose our way,i still think the press is the best way to beat celtic but it requires discipline that we currently dont have,the rest is down to a combination of lack of quality in the final 3rd where many times we rush and make the wrong decisions,also in midfield and defensively we are constantly drawn out of position,overun and lose our shape which is vital to stopping their potent attack,then we also fall foul of many individual error which in a game like this can and will prove critical to our chances
Do the Board accept that they’re responsible for the mess we’re in, or are they just ignoring the criticism, rolling their eyes, and content to leave Clement and the players to take the pelters for the performance and the result? It’s clear that we need a good CEO in place to make the club operate in a similar way to Celtic, so why aren’t we appointing somebody? There must be someone out there that’s qualified. Taking too long to identify a good candidate is perhaps another fault of the Board- unless it’s deliberate? Do they just want to carry on as they are? Clement needs to change formation as the formation now aint working and just leaves space ìn areas for any team to exploit need a 4.3.3 to get more out of some of these players.
People are now turning on yet another manager because of the failures of the club. And it has got worse since Gerrard left. Even with a European final. I understand we have to spend money wisely but to win a title after so many years of hard times we didnt trust Gerrard enough to back him to make us even stronger and mabey go up another level in Europe as Gerrard had us competing again at least. Beale was a better tactical manager than Clement, he just took a massive financial gamble on Lammers, Dessers and the new inside 10 system he had planned. It didn’t work out and he paid the price. In terms of tactics, he was a superior coach. Clement’s record is not good at all. We are going to get absolutely battered in the Europa League with this setup, the Spurs game will be absolutely ridiculous.
