Huh, this video isn’t doing bad. Maybe I’ll think about doing a remastered version with better gameplay. Edit: my first 1k views, awesome. I’ll definitely make a remaster of this with higher quality gameplay from my Definitive Edition. Edit from April 2024: I never bothered yet but once I finish a replay on PC I am doing I might just do it. It is way easier to record on PC than Xbox and I am doing it in 4K on the original S2! This video seems to still pull the most views these days even if all time it got beaten so I really should.

Yup! Love the game, and series however some of the dialogue makes me roll my eyes. Kenny also told my Lee that he didn’t do anything for him when that was far from true. . . . It’s just the game’s writing. Bonnie literally wants you to do everything. Everyone wants you to do everything smh.
tbf though, her anger was stupid, like, how is clem even supposed to lift or move luke who is like 10 times her size and weight? And was also being dragged by a walker who weighed god knows what. Bonnie was such a terrible character lol.

@@leonalunox5465 Finally, someone who sees the true culprit. A lot of people blame Arvo for what happened, and the characters blame Kenny, but Bonnie’s stupidity is Luke’s true killer. If she had any basic survival knowledge she’d know that walking on thin, cracking ice is suicidal. They should have gotten a rope or something to pull Luke out. Optimally he’d be able to pull himself out, but the bullet wound he got from being an idiot made that impossible.

The worst part is that Luke told Clementine to stay put and cover him, and if both she and Bonnie did that he probably could've pulled himself out. Bonnie's the reason Luke is dead.
Idk what the hell Bonnie was thinking. She could see the ice breaking beneath Luke, why did she ever think that approaching him and adding another human worth of weight was a good idea is beyond me.

A huge example of this so when you tell Kenny its a bad idea to open fire on Carvers group and he scowls and does it anyway and acts shocked when Walter gets executed. Dude we literally told you that would happen.
Bonnie was only mad because she couldn’t get the D from Luke and she was jealous of how Jane slept with Luke. Plus you can’t expect a 11 year old Clem to be able to save Luke a mid 20 years old man out of freezing water.

@@humansmayglow No, she isn’t. Clementine is suffering so much throughout the entire franchise and it honestly hurts to watch a kid her age go through all of it. All of her “badassery” is just her masking how much she’s hurting inside. Like in season 3 I find it fairly obvious that Clementine’s behavior is a desperate attempt to look capable so people respect her and to fool herself into believing she holds control over her life.
So Bonnie tries to act like God’s gift to humanity herself by shitting on a child for having the audacity to be physically incapable of lifting an adult twice her side out of ice cold water, but then after this, she steals food from that same child AND a baby and runs away after that child gets shot? At least show some consistency.

I never not end up in the lake because I just don’t think Clementine would be able to give up on saving him. She’s desperate to keep everyone together, she can’t handle losing anyone else, even if it’s hopeless. If it were me, uninfluenced by trying to fit into Clem’s shoes, then yeah, let Bonnie drown. Unlike her, I’m not stupid enough to think any of that was a good idea.
@@dylan23497 Clementine should've died in season 2 or let AJ die so she can live (the original plot) But since it was too dark to let an 11 y.o girl or a baby die, the developers changed it. I'm not sure if my answer helped.

I still think it’s crazy how all these adults were always relying on her and talking to her like she was some sort of adult. I get it, it’s the apocalypse. And she’s the main character in the game so they have to treat her like that…. But it just seemed ridiculous. Luke was the only one that actually treated her like the kid she was, and that wasn’t even very often
This. It’s really weird when you think about it. It feels like her role was written for an older character outside of the references they make to her being a child considering how the characters treated her
No, Clem wasn’t treated as an adult. She was relied on like an able-bodied adult, but everyone brushed off her opinion because she was a kid. It’s beyond infuriating, and Clementine herself voices disdain at such treatment, so I believe it was intentional. Season 2 illustrated that no one was going to replace Lee. No one was going to protect her like he did, or respect her opinion even half as much as him. Sarah, though her death was poorly written and I hate the fact that it happened, demonstrated this. When her life was on the line, Luke and Jane left her to die in a heartbeat, pressuring Clem to do the same. If she survived a while longer Jane makes a token effort to save her while everyone stands back and provides no support. It was pathetic and proved that those people wouldn’t fight through a herd like Lee to protect a child. They’re selfish, despite pretending otherwise. They were all a danger to Clem and she should have left much sooner. I know that second half of the rant was largely unnecessary, but I need to get this off my chest. No one else really takes away the same message from season 2 that I did.

When I first heard this I was thinking... So that whole "lift me onto the warehouse roof, sneak into Carvers office & attract the walkers & getting the jump on Carver" was all YOU BONNIE?
what I felt like could've happened during the ice lake situation was that luke could've thrown his ak to clementine so that he could lose less weight unless that's not how it works
after Lee died she got separated from Omid and Christa, she was pretty much forced into the "leader" role for her group and had to do the same thing Lee did. the problem being she's like 11 years old so she's in a weird middle ground of being the only one they turn to for answers and then they proceed to ignore her, the entirety of season 2 is just you being frustrated at everyone around you for expecting you to lead them and then shoving you in the backseat. It's still you in control, you'd be just as capable as Lee was in the first game to lead them, but everyone around you ignores everything you try to do. I loved season 2, but probably not for the reasons I think the devs were going for, it really showed how helpless Clem was at the time without someone like Lee, and then by the end of the game and into s3 and s4 you can see she's really grown mentally (and physically obviously) and even if people wanted to they can't ignore her anymore. (also why I loved Luke the most out of anyone in s2, he was the only one that seemed to at least try and not shove all of his problems onto you.)

Meh. I chose to go after Luke. I wanted him to go out like a badass. Instead of just seeing him dead when I'm in there. Pause. But yeah she was nice to me so that's why. Even at the end after Clem gets shot she comforts her.
What Clementine has done -Clementine Goes on Bridge with luke to scout ahead and kills multiple walkers by herself saving luke from dying -Clementine Stops Wind turbine from attracting walkings to the lodge -Clementine goes to carvers office to help the group escape because they're to lazy to think of another way to escape without possibly getting her killed -Clementine Brings Entire deck Down to make sure they don't die -Clementine Respects lukes wishes and shoots walkers Meanwhile Bonnie the "useful" things bonnie has done -Bonnie gets luke killed trying to help him out of the ice like a moron And -Bonnie tricked the group and got them captured by carver leading to walters, alvins, carlos, and sarita's death He's what Clementine should have said to bonnie. Bonnie: i've got nothing else to say to you Clementine: ... To me! You're the one who got luke killed if you had never tried to help him that ice never would have broke and yet you're blaming me and saying i've never helped the group? Bonnie: ... Clementine: you tricked the group i was with and got most of them killed, what have you done to ever help us?!?! Bonnie: ... Clementine: That's what i thought!

Honestly I think Bonnie was just mad and jealous that Luke liked Jane and not her, and took out her anger on Clementine. And I used to like Bonnie, sure I didn't really like her in 400 days and I found her to be incredibly stupid for defending Carver. 😑 Personally I don't understand why she insisted on attacking an 11 year old child because her ex died when it was clearly nobody's fault. Even though I think it's Bonnie's fault that Luke died because if you choose to cover Luke she just added more weight to the ice when she tried to grab his hand. I was half surprised that she decided to betray and leave the group with the supplies, Part of me wasn't surprised because she clearly dislikes Kenny. And Clementine ( If you decide to cover Luke instead of saving him ) But at the same time she did show to have issues with leaving a toxic environment,like with Carver. Also the whole "Nobody expects you to do anything because you're a child" is completely and utterly stupid! It's funny how one little scene sums up everyone's worst gripe with season 2: Clementine does EVERYTHING. Seriously, nobody can really do anything right, it's always Clem pushing the group forward. Lee did the same thing in season 1, but Lee was a grown man, season 2 Clem hasn't even gone through puberty yet.
@@bemiatto67 Yeah, and Lee also wasn't the one doing EVERYTHING. Kenny was the transportation guy, and generally had Lee's back for example. It felt like Lee was doing a lot, but there were things that he COULDN'T do. He asked others for help a lot. Season 2, everyone's asking Clem when they need their shoes tied, and then yells at her for having the balls to tie them. I swear if there was a nuclear bomb about to blow in Season 2, everyone would look to Clem to somehow disarm it, and then call her terrible for not changing it to kill the walkers surrounding them.
What I hate about Bonnie is how she went from caring about and comforting Clementine, to being a mean bitch after Luke died. She did a complete 180. Some people say that she revealed her true character, but that’s not true in my opinion, she was just dealing with a lot of grief and didn’t know how to control it, so she took it out on Clem.
To this day I am STILL astounded that out of all the characters you played as in that short episode that takes place before season 2, they opted to have THIS junky be the one that travels with your group. Jesus Christ she was already the least compelling of the other characters you played as and they have THIS bitch be the one they follow the story of?

But I didn't tell her nothing. But now that I think about it, I rather have another 400 days character instead of her. Vince or Russell probably.

That is because you listened to her and went over to "help" Luke when he warned not to. If you listen to Luke and not Bonnie she then blames Clementine for his death even though going over to Luke breaks the ice due to the added weight and is what kills him, Luke knew it would, that is why he said not to come to him. Bonnie however thought that going to him was what would save him and believes that Clem should have done it so she hates Clem if she didn't go to Luke.
Bonnie's writing is where the heavy interference really starts to show. She stole from a kid and her guardians twice and talked down to a little girl like this. Jesus Christ lady, what is your problem?

I’m actually on iOS on an iPad, I didn’t have that issue but I know Android devices are awful. I don’t use mobile for TWDG much as I got my Xbox Series X anyway tho

I dunno why but I just wanna say all these things because I saw a lot of Cut Content videos but Mike was actually one of the guys who was in the Woods with Christa. That Gunshot you hear was not her dying while you're running away. It was Mike being shot in his Ear. And if you take a look at his ear in the game, you can see it ain't good. So he wanted to make up for what happened. Even so, you can shoot him when the episode Released on PS3 but got patched pretty quick. Makes sense.
Literally every character death save for Alvin’s second death was a poorly written piece of trash. Kills off everyone you like and leaves you with Mike, Bonnie, and JANE!!!!
Mike can die when the game came out on PS3, so he's determined, the same for Bonnie and Arvo was actually Eddie from 400 Days. And in Season 4 you might already know what happened to him.

Not a good comparison, Clem did everything this season. Ben was always messing things up, not once or twice. While Clem listened to Luke and tried to cover him, Ben left Clem to die to walkers like a coward.

Clementine was 9 when the apocalypse broke out and 11 in this season. Ben was 17, and much taller and physically stronger than Clementine. Expecting someone in their late teens to at least not make so many mistakes and expecting someone who hasn’t even hit puberty yet to do everything isnt the same.
