That slow head drop Kenny does was…I loved it. It symbolizes the history these two had and how hard it must be to live with the death of a man who’s so important to them.
I think it depends on the kind of relationship Lee had with Kenny. Personally, I got the "neutral" run with Kenny in season 1 because after Episode 1 he just couldn't help but being an asshole and we agreed with just a few things like protecting the group and finding a boat in Savannah. In my season 2, Kenny says that he and Lee didn't see eye to eye much, but he was able to respect the man Lee was and even used Lee as an example of good people to show to Clem that Jane was nothing like him. In an instance like this, Kenny being sad for Lee makes sense, but if you get the "antagonistic" run with Kenny in season 1, Kenny probably was sad for Clem instead. I never really played the first season disagreeing with everything Kenny does, so I never saw any determinant responses of this scenario, but I would think that even if Kenny hates Lee, he would still know how much he cared for Clem and vice-versa, so while not being sad for Lee himself, he could probably empathize with the feeling of seeing people you love die or even having to kill them yourself, specially considering Clem's age.
@@lobardodelainternet4253 In season one when lee kenny, Krista and Omid find the apartment where the couple killed themselves, Kenny admits that he was a bad friend and he could have been there for Lee more. He only says this if their relationship was bad or mediocre. I say this because Kenny, regardless of your determinant relationship with him has grown to respect lee and miss him. Whether he hated his guts or not. So much time has passed from season one to season two that there's no way kenny would bad mouth Lee. Especially to clementine. My point is that him lowering his head is real. Its legitimate sorrow for himself and clementine losing a man so close to both of them. Regardless of if they saw eye to eye or not, the impact lee has had on them is real and they're sharing that loss. No other character would lower their head to that news, because no one else would understand. Im getting chills just thinking about it. Dammit what a good game. Im just realizing a lot of this is just from memory like 4 years ago. Man.
0:42 You know what it feels like to get beaten, almost to death? Peaceful...it feels peaceful. It was like I was floatin’ away.....watchin’ the whole thing happen to me. And then I woke up again.....and nothin’s changed. I’m still takin’ a beating, everyday. -Kenny This is probably the only thing I can remember from this game. His life has become so painful that death is almost numb to him. I don’t know why, but I love this line.
As someone who’s beaten my own face senseless in self harm, I can attest to Kenny’s statement. It truly does feel like an outside view, peaceful. It’s why it’s such a depressing line
@@urbiznesnunuv6938 True Kenny Definitely deserves better after all the pain he went through throughout The Walking Dead games not to mention everyone thought he was Dangerously unstable and tried to get away from him but can you really blame him for everything he’s been through??? He still was a Good Man on the inside.
Kenny never knew what happened to Lee, but when clem told him the truth he knew that she was in a worse place than him. He realized that how hard it was on someone her age and she was living hand to mouth for a while. But never knew what happened in the marsh house and the episode 5 ending, now both of them are the only things they have left that they know and care about.
Damn, Kenny felt so stupid yet angry of realizing that the child lecturing him is right. I’m playing this game from the first part again on the PS5, hopefully the FPS will be better.
I find this whole conversation so irritating. Sure everyone lost someone. But at the end of the day Clementine lost more people and she’s only a kid and handling it more better than Kenny, who’s an adult.
@@InvestedGman Clem thought her parents were still alive and found out they were dead a few minutes before she had to SHOOT AND KILL LEE her Father figure this girl robbed her and shot omid dead she distracted bandits so her and Christa could get away she dosent know if Christa is dead alive or worse she lost her only friend duck she watched lily gun down Carley and couldn’t do anything and she’s A LITTLE GIRL 8-11 years old
@@courtneyscheffler69 yeah and she declines in season 3 becoming similar to Jane and Molly she lost what made her hopeful when she fought AJ died. While kenny had to witness/kill his lover, his now then best friend shot on the head, Katja suicide and duck getting shot it changed him you see when he is with Clem and AJ he gets better
i remember my dialogue with kenny in tent. the conversation turned out to be tense and i really thought Kenny would hit us. and i wasn't the only one who thought so. poor little Clementine was getting up in a defensive pose and moving backwards. it surprises me how no one noticed her body language...
two characters of Clementine Clementine speaking like Lee she like a step child to Lee thats the child that Lee wanted and another Jane by add attitude mood swings by keeping it real
What is this whole "stop feeling sorry for yourself!" Crap when someone loses someone in TWD? Guy just lost his wife. His second wife. I think he has the right to be alone for a while.
@@insanitywolf7309 Not really comparable. Lee was only with Clem for 3 months. Kenny lost an entire family twice, and since he's an adult, he puts that responsability on himself. Clem is just a kid, and at least she can always say that she isn't responsible for being a kid.
@@damianwaynerobin5984 well kenny didnt sayed "hey clem come in the tent and listen all my saying" no he just said "leave us alone for a bit"but no clem didnt.
@@RickyDDG When it comes to problems like that based on the circumstances it will be bad if no one checks up on him. When people are at their worst, giving them too much space won't help. There is a reason why people check upon people who are depress.
A Man who lost his girlfriend about 5 minutes and just want to be alone for a bit. Well i cant blame hım. You cant heal someones loss compare with your loss this is just getting nervous. Think about it after clem shot Lee kenny showes up from no where and saying " i had shot my son so stop feeling sorry for you're self"( if he shots) well thats not cool.
@@RickyDDG doesn’t give him the right to be a piece of shit to a little girl, Lee would tell off again for talking to her as if she hasn’t suffered either.
Well kenny is mad beacuse he cant literlly nothing when katjaa died duck died and sarita died he actually blames himself about it. But nobody here to get kenny relax no they are pushing kenny to get mad. While clem always talk about Lee like " i got hım killed" than kenny sayed "no darling dont say that" kenny try to chill clem but in this video clem pushes kennys nerves
@@RickyDDG if she didn't shoot Lee, Clem could say "you're not the one who lost people. My parents. Lee". Kenny still acts like in this video and leaves the tent. No pushing, just a reality check in calm tone, but nah. Pregnant woman needs help, so does other people, they don't know what to do, but he decided to sit in the tent. Don't give me this crap about "b..but he lost his family!!". Seems like only Kenny can act that way, while others can't. Stop making excuses for that man ALL the time.
This dialogue tells you everything you need to know about Kenny’s true colors in season 2. There is simply no room for anyone else’s grief in Kenny’s constant self pity party. And it’s more irritating the community keeps playing into it.
@@waltuh5697 you can’t recognize what emotional guilt tripping is. Kenny clings to his grief at every single turn in these last two episodes. And he will not empathize or sympathize with anyone else trying to grieve just like Clementine attempted to do in this clip.
