While I agree with some of what Dabo says, the players are the only reason the revenue comes in. Who would be able to pay a coach like him 6 million a year without the top players and all the other members that contribute in practice squads?
I somewhat agree with Dabo. I wish college football could get their stuff together and have one high school signing period. One short portal period. And equal amounts of money to dole out so wealthier schools don't outbid other schools. They have to get a handle on this mess. Dabo has a formula at Clemson. Sign really good high school classes and play the softest schedule in the country. If and when Clemson moves to the SEC ,this won't work. You won't be playing Duke , Wake , etc every week with a superior roster. Clemson should feel obligated to schedule Georgia every year. They are natural rivals a little more than an hours drive. I don't believe Dabo will be gone if he continues to win 9 games a year. Who would Clemson consider hiring ?
Yes, about last night. Everything you said was true and they called it out…. PLUS the announcer literally said that EVERY SINGLE adjustment Mark Kingston made came back to haunt him. (Shifts, substitutions, everything he touched)
I watched the whole USC/LSU game last night. You're correct on all accounts. What you failed to mention is that with the game on the line Kingston brought in a relief pitcher that threw 70 mph hr change ups the whole time except one fastball. Basically loblbing the ball to the catcher...thought for sure Kingston would be fired today....
To the best of my knowledge, the money of coming from all these maybe deals the schools sign with tv etc that the kids haven't been able to take part of over the years
