A woman who worked as a clerk at a Miami tag agency is facing 36 felony charges for what prosecutors said was her role in a multi-million-dollar title fraud scheme involving at least a dozen stolen vehicles.
I hate when they say "Accused" if she is charged say that she is charged not Accused. Because there's people "Accused" of things they didn't actually do. If your an Uber driver with someone that robbed a bank and then it comes out on the news with "Accused" with your picture on there. And your just an innocent driver not an accomplice it will ruin your life for no reason. You can sue for that but it can be avoided in the first place

@@4dyamondx745 The judge is a mexican, also; therefore, he'll give her leniency vs a male mexican. Remember, he only gave her a $50,000 dollar bond. Do the math!
This happened to me in Maryland. They broke my window, stole my car, took it to VA to fix the window and produce fake temp plates at a dealership using a machine that can inly produce those types of plates. The only reason I know because the police found the vehicle in Baltimore county being used by a college student who was obviously involved in the crime but he didn’t expect for the vehicle to be discovered. When I googled the name on the fake registration it was a picture of a kid I seen outside my window several times in PG county. There were McDonalds receipts and garage parking tickets in my car dated the day after my car was stolen with all my cleaning products and tools still in the trunk. The student lied to the police and said he was a victim too and brought the car legitimately (my apartment parking permit sticker was still on the windshield too). Baltimore and PG police believed him and didn’t conduct a further investigation because as I was told by them “just be lucky you got your car back, we have bigger cases to solve”. SMH if any law enforcement is reading this please reply with contact info for an agency representative who can assist me in the DMV area. Thanks!
Unfortunately in PG it's just gotten worse! After 40 yrs in PG I moved to Charles county but it isn't much better 😕. So sorry for your troubles hope it gets better!
@@jool7793 Well, if you were in business and people were required to buy insurance because a law forces them to or go to jail whenever they get caught on roads without it, wouldn't you have people lined up to get at least the minimum amount of coverage that is required by law? Also, on the higher-end and not required stuff, like theft coverage or comprehensive damage, wouldn't you make sure you charged enough on your rates to cover the damages that would get paid out, with enough extra to make you some money on that investment? Might you want to make sure you could pay out on all the claims you are required to at one time, if needed, to make sure you don't go bankrupt if there was a big crime spree, or a hurricane (it IS Miami) came through and did a lot of damage all at once and you had to pay for it? Otherwise, yeah, I agree. These corporations can be quite greedy, and many just go bankrupt (and don't pay every claim they are supposed to) when something big happens all at once. They even get away with ageism, sexism, and discriminating based on marital status. They charge more on premiums based on those factors. They discriminate based on the neighborhood and how many accidents or thefts it has, which can often break right down racial divides. Try being an 18-year-old unmarried young man in a Puerto Rican and black neighborhood in Miami with some new wheels you want full coverage, including uninsured motorist damage, theft, and natural disaster coverage. I would NOT want to pay for that insurance. Of course, if there were far fewer people stealing cars (especially in that local community), the rates would be lower for that person.
Little title company, little grocery stores, etc. are a Latino thing. They have connections with the chop shops, and the street thugs bring the stolen cars. It's all one big operation.
Common thing in NYC, though they mostly serve taxi, limousine, and other for-hire car customers. When COVID shut down the DMV's, for months they became the only practical way to get vehicles registered. They're occasionally convenient, as you pay a little more for their services but don't have to deal with going to the DMV. I can imagine plenty of shady stuff going on, but me personally I didn't have any issues with the place I was using.
Lol man The lowest person involved in all of that will have that $5000 bond(10%) as nothing but pocket change And yes she will probably be sentenced to 6 months and only actually do about 45 days.
whens the last time you voted in your local primaries? when's the last time you called your senators or district's represenative? When's the last time you read what bills your state and national legislature was voting on?
@@CrocodileWhispers The OP was talking about LOCAL judges and prosecutors in Miami-Dade county. The state doesn't give a damn about us. Because if they did care, they would have created an anti-corruption task force to lead over Miami like they do in other states.
The place she worked at looks suspect enough. Maybe if the crooks had to go to the actual DMV tag and title office the honest employees might have raised a flag????
Nothing embarrassing about stealing. Its just based on context. Jesus was a thief too. He has stolen a lot of people’s life with a promise (heaven) that no one is clear about even exists. So he shouldn’t be the first point of reference when it comes to “thou shalt not steal” 😄
@byefelicia8632 This is a blasphemous and incredibly foolish comment. My prayer for you is that you will come to know Him and have an opportunity to repent, before you stand before Him.

Miami, Atlanta, Chicago it’s happening everywhere. She just happens to be the one person that was caught while there are many more out there. Some even work for the DMV
Yes, up in Albany and trying to strong-arm people out of money. Tell you one price you owe, but when u refuse to pay it the prize goes down. No matter how hard you try to get them investigated in New York, nothing happens.
Most BMV/DMV sub-contract these agencies out. The contractors pay low wages. Get what you pay for. Fraud happens in many states. States should take over these agencies and run them properly.
@@felixwankel3989 Alberta uses contracting agencies., but then, Alberta is the Texas of Canada and "freedom fry", so ICBC in BC had to initiate complete provenance for vehicle transfers as a DEFENSE against the fraud on the prairies, including boats, ATV's, snow mobiles, and ranch and const. equipment. Can't say I blame them. Stolen on the prairies, run to BC and sold for "kash".

Since risk is at an all-time high right now, perhaps you should be a little more patient and return when it has decreased. Alternatively, you can consult a trained financial expert for strategy.

Jesus did you pay attention 🤷♂️ She only worked at the tag agency and got paid per vehicle registration. She wasn't making Millions $ or stealing the cars.
DMV in California as well as all government agencies have people like this working in them. Why there is so many “licensed and registered” vehicles, even new ones with no insurance. All scams. DMV here has already been busted for selling licenses. Even class A.
I’m in my 50’s and from Miami originally and it has always been that way. Tags and titles are not handled by government offices, you go to a tag agency to get that done. It was a bit of a culture shock for me when I moved to a different state and had to go to the courthouse to register my vehicles. 😂
Well if we allow the government to process our titles we will be standing in line for days and waiting for titles in the mail for months! How about we just catch the bad guys like they just did.
