CLERKS III: Kevin Smith Confirms Another Sequel is in the Works! 

Kevin saved my life. I listened to him talking about his symptoms and no lie 2 weeks later I had my heart attack. Had it not been for him I would of never knew I was having a heart attack and wouldn't be here today.

I saw this at Walmarts and bought it immediately. I’ve been a Kevin Smith fan since his breakout Clerks movie and I enjoyed this movie immensely because it’s about the emotional connection between two lifelong friends. I enjoy the deeper moments of Kevin Smith’s films and this movie had a lot of heart. The death of Dante was well written and I enjoyed the way it was done. I found myself in tears during the final ten minutes of the movie; I never realized how deeply I connected with the Dante character.

Clerks three was amazing and an emotional roller coaster as well ever since I watched it I have not been able to stop thinking about it. It was the best one yet I loved it thank you Kevin smith for all your amazing classics

I made a joke at the box office about it being a "Fathom event". I never fathomed paying $13.00 for a Clerks movie. But it was a event and worth the spend. I have never seen a perfect movie and don't expect to ever see one. This was a complete movie in many ways and was more than I expected. As always Silent Bob got the best dialog... :) Kevin takes care of Bob.

Sticking the landing is a perfect way to describe how Clerks III ended. It was NOT what I expected at all and that's a good thing. It came out of nowhere but *that* scene - if you've seen it you know - was one of the best Kevin has ever done in View Askew.

As long as Kevin Smith keeps making Kevin Smith movies, I’ll be there to watch them and support him.

I hope Kevin Smith keeps doing as many projects as he can.

I love how he kinda stood up for his status because he's is the guy who NEVER defends his work even though personally I believe he deserves to rant about all his works even the so called shittier movies he's made I personally have taken something away from each one of his movies and it's stuck with me. 1st time watchin Clerks III… hated it. Now after seeing it about 15x’s, can hardly put to words how much I love this flick. Kevin Smith is a master craftsman

It can't be over! Yes, it's sad that Dante is gone, but I love what Kevin Smith has done with the Elias character & added his own sidekick. Yes, this maybe the end of The Clerks, but the characters can go on, whether in the Quickstop or fast forward 10 years and they sell the store and move to Florida near Emma and J&SB are selling at retirement communities...

Kevin Smith has to be the record holder for cult classics. Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob. Even Jersey Girl and Zack and Miri, and Tusk. All are movies that me and my friends have been quoting for decades now.

Wait! Where's the next sequel news? I heard Mallrats 2 was up next for a refresh. Who titles these things?

Just saw Clerks III and wow. It was so funny and yet so sad. I won’t spoil the ending on why it was sad, but I hope anyone enjoys it.

When I saw this and left Austin stole the whole movie Veronica and Brian/Dante need an Oscar Elias jay and everyone else killed it as usual when they brought in both Williams on the same I was like hell yes it was truly Kevin’s best work

I saw "Clerks III" opening weekend, and I'm still not sure what to make of it. It was way more mature, but unfortunately that was part of the problem I had; it got too serious. I don't know if he really should do a fourth one. Elias is a decent enough character, but it just won't be the same without Dante. Maybe we'll see another Hicks family member... I'd trade just a little bit of Dante's tirade for maybe something like the discussion on whether the Empire could sue the Rebel Alliance on behalf of all the independent contractors who died when the blew up the first Death Star. There should have been a little more humor to balance things out.

They have got to make Clerks 4, with Kevin's daughter working at the store.

Thank god this is the clerks 3 we got. It was so perfect. I was in high school when clerks came out. And I was dead in the middle of having young kids when clerks 2 came out. Both the best times of my life. Now clerks 3 comes out after I spend 15 years rebuilding my life after the recession ruined me and my wife and now we are moving into our dream home in our dream place. Somehow these 3 movies all came out right at the peak moments of my life. I was crying for 3 days after watching clerks 3. So happy it exists and now I can watch all 3 once a year.

Even though Dante died in this one I don’t think it won’t stop Kevin Smith to make Clerks 4

I really liked it, i live about 20 mins outside the capital of my state where the AMC is. It was pretty full for a cinema that usually is pretty empty. That being said this isn't Kevin's fault, i don't think it was $17.49 for one ticket good.

Say what you will about some of his movies being a flop the dude has a humbleness in him and a regular dude attitude thats kept him as an inspiration over the years for me

So many of these critics couldn't even make something better than Kevin's worst film if they tried. I loved Clerks 1, 2 & 3

As a huge fan of his entire film series the original idea for clerks 3 would have been light-years better than what we got. C3 was a virtual homage fest to clerks 1 rather than new content. The only reason to have becks dead is if Rosario didn't want to do the film. She did so it was a throw away sad note.

Loved it and hated parts of it why were Jay and silent bob completely different than they normally are. Was in tears I love all of the Kevin Smith movies, hope he does more movies. We all know we're getting older to see these characters again means the world too me I hope they make more and more movies. Kevin is the best

Who can believe a word that comes out of his mouth

There are just as many "best Smith movie in years" as there are "complete trash" reviews. I think it's a very personal movie and you get out of it what you bring into it. If you go in with an open mind and are a certain age, it can really connect, almost TOO close to home at times. If you go in looking to criticize, you will probably find lots.

I love the clerks movies but it should end at 3 of Dante is not there then it should not continue. He wasn't gonna continue it without Jeff Anderson why continue it without Brian O' Halloran?

I don't know a Clerks 4 is supposed to work. But ok I'm game for anything at this point.

Got into kevin when I first got a loan of Mallrats and Clerks before seeing Dogma in the cinema. I can't think back to the late 90s without thinking of Kevin. And I've loved his work, seen him in Ireland, genuinely enjoyed Red State and Tusk... But wow did C3 just tear apart the whole point of Clerks 2.. Sure I get that life, as you get older is fond of devastating you... Ive buried people close, suffered with heroin and crack addiction, had unbelievably bad breakups, health problems, hospital stays, nights awake with regret and guilt and shame... BUT EVERYTHING in C2 is undone... Having Becky and their kid die was enough, but then put Elias through a very severe and painful loss of faith, cripple the leads with heart issues and make their relationship SUPER toxic and bitter... Oh and THEN kill off Dante??!, wtf??! And he says there's more Clerks??? The ghost scenes were so saccharine and cloying but even they were not enough to temper the ACTUAL hate that they feel towards each other. Especially from Dante. The scene in the jail in C2 was infinitely more emotional, well written and real than the few token words of love Randall says to Dante in this film, especially when he's dying... Its like a parody. There was a real easy way to end the central foundation of Clerks without that... Have Dante or Randall, even better, see the finished movie and realise that he doesn't have much time left. His bucket list is now... He sells his share to the ex of Dante,( who only shows up because he had to cast his wife!) and takes off... Leaves new Jersey... Leaves it all... For where? Who knows? For how long? As long as it takes... They have an argument... Randall stops off, car full, on his way... He walks into the shop... Dante gives him that look... He asks for something... As he is leaving he turns and says 'Are you???' A long beat... Camera on Dante.. Smile.. Tears welling up.. Back on Randall..same... Dantes voice breaks when he says 'I'm not even supposed to be here today' A long beat, sentimental music, clips of their conversations play... They nod to each other... Camera pulls out, Randall gets into car... Camera lifts off the ground etc.. Music playing... We see the car of Veronica or Dantes rich ex pull into the lot... She gets out... End... I really can't believe how dark, bleak, nihilistic and pessimistic he made this film. Im scared to think what Mallrats 2 might become if he makes it... They all end up perishing in a blazing fire, La Fleurs, long since fired, dirty and bearded, destroyed on cheap wine and shake n bake crank drives a truck through the mall killing them all or attacks it like the Terminator did the police station? I love his work, I hope we get Moose Jaws or whatever its called, who knows what happened to Kilroy Was Here... I mean can it be ever watched??! Ridiculous NFT crap... And I'd love to see him pull something out of left field like Chasing Amy... Nobody expected that and it was so good. He's friends with Affleck again and has a huge pool of talent to draw from to do something as well written and made as Dogma again even. This is really not it. And as meta and choc full of callbacks as it is... Its a disaster compared to C1&2.

Clerks 2 was much better that is the proper ending to it.

He needs to leave Clerks alone at this point. Why screw with one of if not the best trilogy of all time. However I would definitely not be opposed to a long awaited sequel to Mallrats!

It was just kind of cringe, with a lot of fan serving and callbacks ... to be honest I was happy with where Clerks 2 left off, it had the perfect ending. I'm really tired of these fans who go to comic cons and constantly prod the creators for more content, because they're insatiable. Clerks 1 and 2 were perfect quotable movies, and now we have Clerks 3 that just pales in comparison. Also Jay and Silent Bob Reboot was awful. Just my opinion.

Oh man, I hope he leaves Mallrats the F alone. Clerks III is probably the most disappointing movie I've seen all year and Jay & Bob Reboot before that. Clerks 2 had the perfect ending, but Smith decided that Randall and Dante don't deserve a happy end.

Kevin Smith seriously needs to just go away. He has turned into what he always said he hated. He has just become part of the establishment in Hollywood. He does whatever they ask of him. It wouldn't be that bad if he could at least still make good movies but his last good movie was Chasing Amy.

Saw part (PART!) of "...Reboot" and re-concluded this franchise has run its course and the characters are too old to be plausible. Loved "Clerks," but "Clerks 2" was ghastly, and ... enough already. Should've left it alone like "Office Space."
