Lisa was so much more than my cousin and friend…. She was a sweet, gentle, kindhearted human being….. I was only 8 years old when Clerks came out so I don’t know much about her marriage to Jeff Anderson…. What I Do know is, though their marriage didn’t last, Jeff flew across country to attend her services (so did the rest of the cast….minus Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith….I believe they were tied up with a project at the time and under contractual obligation or something …. In their absence, Mr.Smith sent a wonderful flower arrangement that probably cost more than I make in a year…..while also having paid for Lisa to get treatment at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Minnesota to get her the best help possible before she passed away….. I will always love and respect him for that)
Ghostface oooh okay. I guess that's why you don't really hear about him anymore. I met Brian O'H a couple months ago at a con, but I haven't heard of JA in awhile.
"Oh, hey Kaitlyn. Break his heart again this time and l'll kill ya. Nothing personal". What a BRO! That is the moment Randall became my favorite character
She was a wonderful person…. Great actress, yes, but a far better human being …. When I was younger I had gotten myself into a lot of trouble…. After getting out of jail (for the second time) she had me move in with her to help me stay out of trouble…. Proud to say, since then, I’ve Stayed Out of Trouble…. She gets the credit for helping me to change
“You know, you and I have something in common: we both eat Chinese.” “Dick.” “Exactly.” This is just one of the many reasons why I love Randall - he can take anything and turn it into an ice burn without missing a beat.
Randall is Hollywood's most honest character. Most characters, or real people for that matter, would quickly try to change the channel, or turn off the TV as soon as another person comes in if they were watching any porn, much less hermaphrodite porn. Randall's just like "you know what, I'm into this stuff and I don't care who thinks I'm weird...I'm gonna keep it on."
If you watch the behind the scenes stuff. They explain that they only had enough film for 2 takes per scene. That's it! They also had very limit rehearsal time. If I recall it was less than 10 days.
If at the gates of hell..had to choose Veronica or Caitlyn.....its a no brainer....Veronica...kicking Caitlyn into the the abyss below...holding a nice fresh cooked lasagna for Dante...ha ha.🤔😎😃😃😃
"break his heart again this time, and I'll kill ya." i love that so much it shows how much randell loves dante, he cares about the guy so much even if he gives him hell.
Love this movie! I can’t believe it came out when I was 9!!! Does anyone know what’s up with Caitlin’s outfit? It looks like she going to work at a restaurant or something not about to go on a date.
I was 8 years old when it came out…. The entire cast used to come to pool parties at my uncle John’s house in Freehold NJ…. Lisa was/is my cousin…. “Randal”/Jeff Anderson would toss me around (playfully of coarse) in the pool, while my family would BBQ on the deck….it was just prior to Clerks being released (I remember the year was 1994 because we were at my Uncle’s house for a pool party and the NBA finals….NY Knicks vs Houston Rockets and the TV station cut the game off to cover the OJ Simpson situation…. The LAPD chasing the White Ford Bronco….. my dad was Highly Upset about that and I didn’t understand why…… I learned why because I would stay with OUR (paternal Grandfather) Pop-pop as a babysitter during that summer and wanted to watch The Power Rangers but there was never anything else on TV except The OJ Case🤦♂️😢💔❤️💯
While it's sad that her actress died, I have a fan-theory that could shed some reality subtext on it and I base it on this scene. He told Caitlin if she broke Dante's heart again, he'd kill her. While granted going catatonic doesn't count as heartbreak to a sane person, in Randall's twisted mind, she cheated on him with a corpse. So he killed her.
Randal: ''Children's programming'' The programming: ''It's all about pain, you bastard!!" I almost died laughing when I first saw this with subtitles and that line came up.
@Tunerdude94 Oh please, it's pretty obvious even trough text, it's a well-built perfect sarcastic statement, the contrast between what is seen and what's told.
@Tunerdude94 it isn't really childrens programming - you see, sometimes, when adults want to be funny, they say things that aren't true, but they say it the way in which it is obvious they are aware of the things they say not-trueness.
I get the show now...an who of the 81137 slept with a half n half person...a tall white girl half alive half dead...n what happen to the person who did...she tried to push up on me...clueless white girl worked for the Sky Ute Casino...the mating with a Dead person in the restroom hahhahaha who was the culprit...russian or the asian design major...of the 81137 I get the show now...

Bullshit…. I won’t ever believe that…. I personally gave her her medication when I lived with her while she was sick…..She died due to complications from/of the illness she had had for 10 years ….Doctors original diagnosis was cancer, when she first got sick (which was accurate) but fucked up with her Chemo/Radiation treatments and over did them…. They Nukes Her Insides!!!! So much so that she was in pain Every Single Day for The Rest Of Her Life!!!! (Doctors have a code…. Much like Cops with the “Thin Blue Line” or Criminals with “The Code of The Street”…. The Code is Simple…..”We Don’t Rat Each Other Out” ….. especially when someone fucks up…. That would skyrocket a doctors Malpractice Insurance while ostracizing another oncologist for “throwing another under the bus”)
I didn’t believe it then…. I don’t believe it now…. And I won’t look for Harvey that owns TMZ but if I ever run into him…..(“I’m a Lawyer”) …. (And I don’t care… I’ll still break his jaw for the way TMZ reported on it…. She had an illness and the tried to play her out like some junkie that OD’d…. It’s bullshit)
Maybe so @chadkase….. maybe so, I might be slow…..yet have you ever had someone who you love attain some type of minor celebrity status, then get sick, then took the time Personally to attempt to help a sick relative as best as possible….. only to have little pencil dicks talk trash about her cause of death on the internet??? Piss off
In the context of the movie Jeff Anderson's acting for Randall is pitch perfect with the sarcastic laissez-faire attitude that he perpetuates. Not to speak ill of the dead but the acting of Lisa Spoonauer left much to be desired but for an untrained actress with a small role, she served her purpose.
