@BryanTorok Well said! If this city wants more people to come downtown, they need to first focus more on fighting crime. I don't like going downtown anymore. It's not very safe, and it's not worth the risk. There's too many shootings, muggings, car jackings, and car thefts and break-ins. Forget about it!

Cleveland has been behind for decades when it comes to developing lakefront property comapred to other cities. This project is nothing more than a pipe dream and won't happen just like previous plans over the last 50 years. If it happens I'll probably be long dead if it ever gets done.
If there's a unsolved decision now have the team play at another facility. And tear down the old stadium and begin construction on the dome stadium and at the same time continue to build up the projected Lakefront as mentioned. To much politics for a simple decision. Work together and get a feasible agreement to get progress on the lakefront done . Then everything and everyone will be happy for the city.
What about bring industry to Cleveland. Maybe they should concentrate on that. Generate some tax revenue from industry instead of people living in Cleveland.

OH Hell, NO! They ruined the West Shoreway with a 35 MPH speed limit. It is only tolerable because most driver's ignore it. Now, they want to slow down the tens of thousands of commuter who travel through there. FOR WHAT? You are going to spend millions of dollars to build a bridge over it. What does it matter how fast the cars are going?
Inlove the idea of developing our lake front, but honestly, who goes downtown anymore? I dont know a single person that doesn't treat downtown like somewhere youngo only when you absolutely have to. Unless you're going to a sporting event, there's nothing to do downtown. Take away thenfact youll probably be murdered, the suburbs are where everything is anyway. Its going to take a lot more than to make a park along the water. You need to make it super easy for suburban folks to get there. You absolutely must reduce not just overall crime in Cleveland but the perception of crime as well, and you need to make sure there are things to do. I love parks, but after 2 visits in the summer, you've seen it all. Make it a destination, not just a park. We already have stunning parks, in the suburbs.
Stop subsidizing one billionaire's family business with our tax dollars. If our entire economy relies on one business staying or leaving, we've been doing things very wrong for a very long time.
