I'm a little disappointed you didn't make a longer video. Please come back and do another when the weather is more favorable. I love watching your videos by the way.
Cleveland has the cultural amenities - symphony, (free) art museum, Theatre Circle - of when it was one of the largest and wealthiest cities in the US.
Cleveland has notoriously horrible weather. As bad as it was in this video, it pales in comparison to winter weather, which you have to experience it to believe it . The Autumn tends to be the prettiest time of year.
It's like what my Cousin said about Northern Ohio (particularly near the Lake) "May is 'You May have Sunshine, you May have clouds, you May have rain, you May have snow, you May have warm temperatures, you May have regular temperatures, and you May have freezing temperatures.'" If you are near the Lake, like within a mile depending on the wind direction, you will be around the temperature of what the Lake is up until about the middle of June. You could be 5 miles away from the Lake and it will be 80 degrees F. But on the shore of the Lake, it can be in the 40s in May. But in the Fall, it will be warmer near the Lake at night than 5 miles away from the Lake. I don't know if you notice, the Rock Hall is built like an record player.
Next trip to Cleveland visit the Flats area....taverns, restaurants and entertainment. Also, check out The Christmas Story House and the museum. Plus we have very nice Zoo and Art and History Museums.
I live in a suburb just outside of Cleveland. Yes, the weather is very depressing for many months. We sometimes have a nice Spring and Fall, but Winters are long. Great place for culture and food! Wonderful melting pot of ethnicities.
Watching the whole play though and wondering why you skipped or didn't video Columbus OH. Thought you were doing all the capitals? Just wondering because I'm from Ohio lol and a little jealous of the other states. Love the content
🎶 🎶 🎶 🎶 🎶 What is the name of that tasty beat in the intro? Fun Fact: Superman co-creators Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel originally had Superman operate in Cleveland (although they used the Toronto skyline) when he was just a comic strip in the Cleveland newspaper, but when the strips were re-used for the comic books, they changed the location to the fictional Metropolis.
@@JoeandNicsRoadTrip Akron is my hometown. Used to be the rubber capital back in the day. Sadly, it’s a dilapidated and dangerous city now. I grew up on the north side- North Hill, the Little Italy section. Sadly, it’s not recognizable and can’t be called Little Italy anymore. And yes, the weather is miserable, that’s why I now live in Florida! Oh, Akron has the best and very distinct pizza that can’t be found anywhere else. Luigi’s Restaurant in downtown Akron is a must visit. It’s the only thing I miss!
This is ironic for someone like me who has lived in Arizona for 20 years and am moving somewhere of my own choice for the first time in my adult life. This "miserable" weather every day sounds amazing, I'm used to only brutal sun nearly every single day of the year. I think we need a balance to stay sane.
I get it you hated the weather....maybe try again in the summer. You do realize what time of year you decided to visit right? I'm from Cleveland but I moved to the RGV because of the weather lol. I'm a huge GnR fan so I get that. In summation... Cleveland Rocks!
Howdy Spoda...well lemme start off by saying that my absolute favorite band is pink Floyd and like yourself the wall is my #1 favorite album so I enjoyed seeing the pink Floyd display at the rock n roll hall of Fame,I also enjoyed some of the other exhibits you featured but that's all the positives I will say about the hall because the negatives outnumber the positives when it comes to the hall...I noticed when y'all were leaving you were chatting about what's missing at the hall...well there's a whole lot missing from the hall...the hall has snubbed bands and artist who should be in there but their not....Ted Nugent,Styx,Bad Company...I could go on for miles about the artist that should be in the hall...that's why as a hard rock and heavy metal fan the hall is known as the rock n roll hall of shame & shame it is...they have folks like tupak, cool moe D,etc but they completely ignore and snub much more deserving artist so I'm glad you went there but I will never step foot in that place...I've often said if I won the lottery I'd start my own hard rock and heavy metal hall of Fame right in my hometown of Dallas Texas and my first inductees would be Dallas's very own Pantera...anywho...I enjoyed the video as always Spoda, keep up the good work brother...
Sun Studios in Memphis is the birthplace of Rock if indeed anyplace can claim such a thing. Cleveland might have hosted the first Rock concert, just as D.C. hosted the first American Beatles concert, but that hardly means that D.C. was the birthplace of The Beatles, and I think it's arrogant for Cleveland to claim otherwise. The birth of Rock & Roll was like a cosmic magnet that sucked in talent from New York, Memphis, Texas and other major cities in a way that quickly dominated and changed music forever. But its nucleus occurred at Sun...that's where the fuse was lit for an explosion that would reach every city the world over.
Wish you would have given downtown Cleveland as much attention as you gave downtown Detroit, Portland and St. Louis. You missed Playhose Square a world famous theater district and other cool stuff in downtown Cleveland. But alas, you must help maintain the attitude of disdain for Cleveland by not showing the cool stuff beyond the Rock Hall. What you refuse to show won't be seen and what people won't know.
That’s why Cleveland is called the armpit of America. Ohio may be the worst state in the union. Just my opinion. I’m trying to think of something positive to say about it but can’t think of anything.
