I own the 302R - a fully-faired version of this and I absolutely love it. Designed in Italy but manufactured in China? Never mind. This thing is Chinese not much than Volvo does. And how sweet this 360-shaft twin sounds ~
I'm so glad you made this. There have been straight up ZERO US videos on this bike. I just bought one and haven't gotten it yet. I think it's going to be a great first bike. FYI, I also live in Ohio so the weather is certainly going to make it hard to enjoy for the next 8 weeks at least.
Hey do they have ABS? I'm not sure how ABS looks like when you look at them but brakes looks same as the version with ABD but I don't see ABS sticker on front fender so I'm confused. You still have him? or it was not worth it? My dealer asking 4700 OTD for 2021 idk
@Drew Nah I noticed nobody buys them , poor parts market in US no reviews on utube from people living in US, So I said to myslef it's not worth it and I found something better .
Great overview of the bike! I just snatched one from a local car dealership no less, in green, with only 200 miles. So I got practically a new bike for about 60% of the price of a new one. Can’t wait to ride it (the weather still sucks for that...)
This is *the* best Benelli review that I have seen. I own a 2015 Benelli BN302, which I bought as a learner rider two years ago. Don't be put off by it being manufactured in China, as per the review, the quality is excellent. It's a great bike. Cheers for the review, all the best to you from New Zealand.
Stopped at the shop just yesterday, Cleveland Moto. This was one of the bikes they had outside on display. It is an awesome looking machine! As mentioned - not everything is premium but it looks like all attention to detail was noted. It looks good and handles well enough! It’s all we need for the ride!
It's a good machine. I have the TNT 300. Has a few electrical problems sympomatic to the model though. Ie starter/relay/pump issues. Has 39 BHP good for about 100 mph. Handles really well for a 195 kg bike. Bit cumbersome in heavy slow traffic, but all in all a good machine. Sounds awsome over 8000 rpm.
Hey any updates about the bike? As others have said there’s no real US based content on these so it would be nice to see how it panned out over a decent length of time
We have sold a total of 22 of these bikes and they're dealer network is growing all the time. We've had a great year with Benelli and our customers are thrilled with their bikes.
Im looking into purchasing this bike, my question which I cant find much information on is: How hard is it to get parts for the bike ? such as maintenance wise
Just got my permit, I'll be getting a 2022 302s hopefully this week. My question is, is there any exhaust for sale besides on ebay or is it the only place?
I read a few complaints about gearbox when you downshift sometime it is hard to find the geat and neutral. Did you notice any problem with the gearbox? Thanks a very nice review.
I have one, downshifting is no sweat. Good engine breaking if you downshift at about 5-6K from 5-4 and around 4k from 3-2. 6th isore like am overdrive for highway. I never really use it. Neutral is occasionally a challenge but that's just when in in my garage or parking.
what would you say about the reliability of this bike? I'm a beginner and am looking for a good starter bike for a decent price (> $5000). I would like to keep it for at least a year or so and I'm curious on how it will treat me
Right now we're doing $400 off on these, so it's completely within your price range. We've sold several of them and haven't has a single one come back with a problem.
Hell yeah they do, and it's amazing. I have the TnT600 from them, but if you're outside America the more 1-to-1 analog is the 752s. Benelli has a really interesting lineup
Thinking about getting this as my first bike, dealership has a fairly good price on them and I don’t wanna go smaller than a 300 cc for my first bike, thoughts?
How do you get dealer support when there are none for a 1,000 miles? Warranty failures would be impossible to do. Of course no dealer would take the word for what went wrong and send a part to fix it?
If you're a competent mechanic you may own a bike for 20 years and never visit a dealership. That also goes for if you've got a good shop nearby. But, I agree with taking dealer support into the consideration for those who need it.
I'm 6'1" and I like it a lot, it's a full-sized bike, where the R3 and Ninja 400 are smaller than their regular sport bikes. Look at the Leoncino 500 as well, it's a great bike for taller riders. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QKKkb9WgnK0.html
I'd be happy to skid mine to a stop right in front of you. There's a place under the back seat where the abs module is meant to plug in. On the USA bikes that spot is empty. If you're looking at one in the USA, show me a picture of the ABS controller.
That road you start out on ure doesn’t look moto friendly. Stay safe! Looking at this model as my first street bike. Thanks for the detailed review. Im hoping the maintenance isn't too intense for me.
We’ve sold several of them, and we’ve never had one come back for a warranty issue. We’ve sold around 60 of the Benelli TNT 135 and had fantastic customer satisfaction with those.
@@ClevelandMoto thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it and liked your review of the bike. Do you think you could do an updated follow up vid? There is literally nothing for u.s. vids
They are all the same, different countries , different names. Some says bn 302, 302S , tnt 302, tnt 302s , in some countries they have lower displacement to match with market requirements, it becomes 249S
I live in Ohio and have the TNT 300. It's my first bike and I love it so far. Reports of it sounding bigger than it is aren't exaggerated. It sounds fantastic. My neighbors must hate me.
@@sethbrunson3464 it's my first bike, full disclosure. However, I'm 6' 215 and it can move me pretty well. First gear is short, I'm often shifting to second before I even finish my turn into traffic. It sounds really good though. Those reports aren't exaggerated. It's quite comfortable as well. I'm still on the break in period so I haven't taken it above 8K RPM. I can say when you do it's gonna sound great. I can't speak to the highway capability yet, though people say it's capable. Shifting is easy, engine breaking is good, as long as you are downshifting at about 4-5k you won't work the engine too hard. I'll tell you, a lot of people look at it. Nobody knows what it is. Also, if you remove those 300 stickers, nobody would suspect it's a 300, at higher RPM sounds a bit like an inline 4. If you want it wound town, back roads, you will be ok for sure. Highway, jury is out. If this shit ohio weather would break I could get some more miles on. Have you ridden before?
@@sethbrunson3464 oh yeah, that will be no problem at all. At my size I can be going 55 at about 6-7K RPM, Redline is at 10,500 I believe. It's a big bike, over 400lb so you are really glued to the road. I have a Benelli/ssk/triumph dealer nearby in Dayton so service is no sweat.
They probably aren’t “real” Pirelli Angels. FortNine just did a video showing the ways manufacturers fool us, and tires was one of them. If you compare this tire to a standard Pirelli Angel, you will find it’s a lower-quality tire, likely made for Pirelli by another manufacturer. . Not knocking the bike, just bringing this up.
The tread depth on these is exactly the same as the Pirelli Angels we have on the shelf. I've seen the Fortnine video, it's entertaining, but it doesn't apply here. Same MFR stamp as on the $109 Pirelli Angel ST's we sell.
I have some questions I want a Kawasaki 400 but it’s $5000 should I get this for $3000 since it seems to have a 300cc motor which is what I want I don’t want to buy a used Kawasaki ninja 300 because I don’t trust a lot of people
I'd say you're on firm ground getting this, the warranty is excellent and they're very reliable and easy to ride. Getting a fully checked out Kaw 300 is also a safe bet.
@@ClevelandMoto I live in Cali no one sees bikes and traffic is horrible 😂 I’m still scared on the iridium portion just last week we had 4 people get hit because of being stupid
Brakes are "eco version" of brembo, not bad, 2 front discs on 300cc, it is a bit heavy, 200kg, honda is +- 150 but has mono front disc and one cylinder, plus, it costs more. NO ABS??? it is a 2016 version than, last version does have ABS
@@ClevelandMoto That's strange. marketing.... in Italy is cheap bike, just 4,000€ tax included with abs, i can find some easily 2016/18 for just 2/2,5000 €. Due of the corona virus is sold out, we need to wait till September to get new one (3 months)
I'd like to know how it does.....at 65-70 to 75-80 MPH....my 390 DUKE....likes 72-75....it'll run 80-85 with bigger bikes......but for more than 20-30 miles, it's kinda asking for a lot out of it, I think....but it's damned FUN......I smile every time I get on my little DUKE.....it wants you to play w/it....but for an older guy, it's uncomfortable....but for a commuter......quick highway trips, and total demolishing 2-lane blacktops? YOU BETCHA....I feel like the motor will probably be comfy at higher revs, but 8000 @ 80 or so, for an extended time, seems odd.....yes, it's a track/naked bike, but it just seems like it's......strainin'...maybe it's just me, but it is a "Thumper".....looking at a CBR500RR (???) with low miles, and a Benelli 302S....but don't need another bike, like the DUKE....the duke is damned good fun....but I think the twin, might be better suited for the highway...and it's nothing, compared to my Honda Shadow Sabre Cruiser (1100)....that bike rides like your favorite chair at home....got the duke, after I picked up the Shadow last year, but needed $1K of work....got it from the Local Honda/KTM dealer, and left my big bike for them to fix....well, 2 Mos. later, not fixed, so took it to the Kaw/Yamaha/Benelli dealer, and they fixed it....I walked in the other day to their showroom, and they have a 2020 302S...with 1.8 miles.....and a damned good price....the Honda dealer, has a CBR500RR, but I don't know if I wanna buy another bike from them, since they never fixed my big bike, and they sell/service Hondas....their competitor treated me right, and fixed my big bike.....but the Honda sales guys were cool....just the service dept. sucked....so would be a bit leary if I buy a bike from them, and they can't/won't fix it. if/when it needs Warranty or just service....again, both the sales dudes were cool.....no issues lettin' me check out the duke (after a copy of my d/l, and Ins., of course)....and they would have awakened the 300r, and the 650r, had I wanted to check 'em out.....I thought the 650 might be a bit much, after no ridin for 20 years (other than mini-bikes, and a few dirt bikes....I had a souped-up turbo 1100ES back in the day, but I'm older now, eh?)...and the 300R, is a damned good lookin' bike, but like the Honda guy said.....it's....."Almost Not Enough".....great for twisties/2-lane blacktops/in-town commuting, but you won't like it on the freeway....he was right....I rode a 2018 CB300R, and agreed.....great....up to about 62-65....I had to let the guy ride my duke, since he let me ride his honda....and he loved the zip of the duke, but it was kinda uncomfortable.....it is...what it is.....Hondas are damned reliable, though...good track record.....but the benelli is a brand new bike, and about a grand less....and two-disc front brakes? excellent....has anyone here rode this bike on a highway at 70 to 80 mph.....I'm a seat-of-the-pants, type rider....gettin' back into to, after a 20 or so year hiatus.....I WANNA RIDE....like the commercial says....
I've been commuting on it and I routinely run 80+ mph for more than 10 minutes at a crack and the bike doesn't care. Top speed will get to 100 mph without an drama, but it's really spinnin'.
It’s a 180 degree crank so it’s more like half an inline four than a true parallel twin but it’s still a good bike. Harley will charge an extra 2k just for the name. Huge waste of money
@@tiagofigueiredo2529 no a 360 degree crank both pistons would spin parallel that is the definition of a parallel twin these pistons are 180 degrees from each other that’s why it sounds like a rice rocket and not a thumper. Please look it up
Kawasaki, Ducati, Honda and Suzuki all seem to like this configuration. I've worn some baggy pants and never had it get "Caught" in the shock. I can't even visualize this.
@@Voltomess absolutely love it... Bike had 3 miles so still need plenty of breaking in but damn it sounds and feels good. looking into a exhaust to open it up a bit but really happy with it
Established in 1911, Benelli is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer. It once manufactured shotguns, although this part of the business is now a separate company. Today, the company is fully owned by Qianjiang Group, and is one of 10 branches of Qianjiang. Benelli is currently being designed in Italy at the Benelli Headquarters. Benelli motorcycles have been manufactured in China since 2005 at Qianjiang's factory in Wenling, China.
This bike is Engineered and Designed in Italy, Benelli is now owned by QJ in China and they will be building the HD338 for Harley Davidson next year. If HD doesn't cut that program.
@@ClevelandMoto First time I've seen Italian design and Chinese build come close to Japanese bikes. QJ or Qianjiang is doing a heck of a job with Benelli.
@@fallinginthed33p We've got customers with these bikes on the road now for 3 years and EXTREMELY low warranty claims and very high customer satisfaction. The new TRK502x is really, really cool.
@@ClevelandMoto I've got a 150S, the tiny sibling of the 302S, and it's a fun little firecracker as a learner bike for shorter riders. The quality of the switchgear is amazing for the price.
You're gonna have a problem with Moto Morini, Italjet, Benelli, MV augusta, KTM and a whole lot more. The Chinese companies like CFMOTO and QJmotor are buying ALL the struggling european brands. Sometimes they leave the factory and management alone, other times, it's a full clean slate.
