In this video, we will be looking at the Waterworks range of CLIC brackets. Made in Switzerland, the CLIC range is used to support and secure pipework to walls or other structural surfaces and can be used as hangers.
In this range, we have two brackets, a single ratchet, and a double ratchet clamp. We then also have a range of accessories that can be used with the brackets, including spacers, twin and triple carrier plates, double-threaded studs, and flange sliders.
Let’s look at the specifications.
• The CLIC TOP Pipe Clamp is available to suit sizes 11.8mm to 64mm and the CLIC Top Double Ratchet Pipe Clamp is available in sizes from 63mm to 127mm.
• Both are made from Polyamide PA 12, which is a heavy-duty material that is UV, chemical, petrol, diesel, and oil resistant.
• The brackets have a temperature rating of -40℃ to 110℃, and a maximum short-term service temperature of 150℃.
• They have been approved to KIWA and are UL listed and approved. They have been tested and internationally certified for use in over 40 countries worldwide and approved for use in a large range of industry applications.
• They are suitable for a wide range of piping options due to their unique ratchet system. Each clip can hold a range of different pipe sizes and types. For example, this one (CLIC59) can hold 50mm PVC pressure pipe, 63mm Polypropylene pipe, 63mm Polyethylene, 63.5mm stainless steel, and 50mm galvanised steel pipe.
• The Clic Top Double Ratchet pipe clamp allows for more precise locking, allowing you to set the clamp at the tightness required.
Now when it comes to mounting the Clic brackets, they are super-fast to install and won’t require any special tooling.
• The easiest mounting option is to screw or bolt the bracket to the mounting surface through the bolt holes on the base of the bracket. The single ratchet clamp has one bolt hole, and the double ratchet has three, providing a solid mount.
There are also other accessories which add to the diversity of this bracket.
• You can use CLIC flanges, also known as sliders, by slotting them into the bracket, providing a fixing point using a threaded rod, or our double threaded studs. These are available in 316 Stainless steel or zinc plated.
• The carrier plates are used to keep pipework evenly spaced, with either a twin or triple carrier option, allowing you to mount 2 or 3 brackets in a line.
• We have two spacer options that are used to extend the bracket off the mounting surface. This is perfect if the pipework needs to be raised above obstacles.
• Finally, the double threaded studs, available in 316 Stainless steel, or zinc plated, can be used in conjunction with the Clic flanges. They allow brackets to be mounted back-to-back.
When installing the pipe into the bracket, it’s as simple as opening the bracket, pushing the pipe inside, and placing slight pressure, causing it to click shut. You can easily open the latch and remove the pipe if need be.
