Ugh!! So glad it all worked out!! 😅😅 Just a thought put an Apple tag in a high end item you sell place it in the handbag or box so you can also follow it and have it in a little manila envelope that comes with bubble wrap and put your address on it and it is already for the buyer to drop in the mail. This may give you a bit of piece of mind for a very minimal cost. Like everything else it’s not 100% but it might help.❤

Hi! Yes the USPS lost a package for return to NM! 72 days it took! Meanwhile the charge remained on my NM card and I ended up losing money due to the interest charge on my card. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yes don't ever drop off a package at the post office without getting a receipt!!!!!! Even with a prepaid label!!!!! They lose it and then say oh well 😢

What a nightmare situation. I remember a scenario in which one of the Instagram ladies I follow had a Birkin bag that she sold also sent and insured by UPS that was stolen in transit. She printed out her label and paperwork and dropped off with her UPS driver. She missed that step getting signatures on that paperwork and UPS would not reimburse her. It was a hellish situation but in the end she was able to file a claim through her homeowners insurance. This after filing police reports, etc. Her package was traveling deom California to New York. I'm glad you shared your story with us. I had forgotten about the signature part and certainly was unaware that UPS stores are not owned and runned by UPS. The UPS hubs in my area definitely aren't convenient for drop offs unfortunately. I'm so glad things worked out!

yes, for about 24 hours there I wasn't so sure… Especially with the way the UPS people were talking! It was like they knew it was gone forever…

Sorry this happened! Frustrating! I purchased a bag from Demillier. When UPS delivered the box, it was crushed & poorly attempted to re-tape in white masking tape. The box was empty. Even the photo UPS took to verify delivery on my porch clearly shows the condition. Demillier was amazing! After I contacted them & sent many photos they promptly sent another bag. I believe whatever happened somewhere in transit. Demillier filed the claim with UPS & they are handling it. Very impressed w/ their customer service! Glad your story worked out.

Always insure for full price of the item! I have had them lose a package too ! Always drop at the counter of a usps office and get a receipt

That's great advice. I always get a receipt and fully insure:). This was with UPS and my mistake was I dropped it at a UPS store and got a receipt there versus giving it to the driver or bringing it to the hub and getting my receipt "signed" by them. Without that signed receipt that I printed at home (they don't even print one when they scan it), insurance may not have paid. It's very confusing if you don't ship a lot!

@@thehandbaghousewife agree it is confusing. I had a claim paid for the lost bag I sent to a friend. If you get a scanned receipt at USPS postal service they will pay the claim

@@thehandbaghousewife heck yes! Especially where I live now. USPS could care less here. Stuff sits at the distribution center for days then disappear or departs with no scan. I always hold my breath when I use them

I returned a victorine wallet to Louis Vuitton , ups delivered an empty box to Louis Vuitton 🙁 Louis Vuitton said I had to file a claim with ups . After filing a claim multiple times after 7 months ups approved my claim .

I can’t believe all the riggamarole Aaryn! And these prerequisites that are required by ups for them to insure an item that you paid to have insured! Thanks for Sharing your story with us so that we are more vigilant. I have always used usps to ship any bags anywhere. I think it may even be a few dollars cheaper. No problems so far. Can I ask an unrelated question please? I see a beautiful light blue shirt sleeve hanging behind you. It has patterned cutouts. Like lace but I can tell it’s not really lace. Can you give me any info on it by any chance? It looks so pretty!
