lol ok I will humble myself here and admit that I did not realize the sniffers required any outside reference/aid. Never really dug into how they work, mainly because as long as it does I don’t really care, but this video definitely addresses symptoms that we have all experienced. I appreciate you brother!
Text from other channel repeated Gene Bowdish I built a voltage sensor that automatically shuts off a unknown live circuit to save lives, it works after I invented and built it, I made a video 2d Reply Gene Bowdish • JustA My invention uses a old non contact volt tester connected to an op-amp ... that controls a relay, my explanation video 11/6/2023 1d Reply JustA • Gene Bowdish interesting. ill checkout the video. thanks! JustA • Friends would you be willing to share the circuit? im curious to see what you specifically invented concerning it. 2d Reply
Finally a logical answer as to why they quit 'bleeeping' Beeping when you let go of them. So in that theory then you could use a single wire attached to a ground screw, i.e. the #6 cover screw, then wrapped around the voltage tic. Umm 🤔 yeah net trick to try.
Voltage is a difference between two points. These things don't measure voltage (they're insulated), they measure electromagnetic fields, a.k.a. radio waves. Touching it makes the antenna bigger.
