She has the balls to be so "nailzilla" towards you after coming in with nails 1.5 months old in that state and disregards everything you proposed to her - I am so sorry she made you cry and frustrated - you are truly a terrific professional you have all my respect, and if I lived where you live I would kindly make her want to get her nails done else where from now on till the end of time... Girl, in my 8 years of working as a nail tech I don’t play: BRING 👏🏼 A👏🏼PICTURE👏🏼WITH👏🏼 THE DESIGN!👏🏼 if you know you’re picky, search the design every day untill you got the right one, if you change your mind, let me know from the start, otherwise you’ll be left with what you’ve picked in the beggining and I learned that if you stress too much with a picky client, the only one having a mental breakdown will be the nail tech😂 When I was maybe 1-2 years into the job, I’d cry my eyes off at the end of the shift because I couldn’t make a picky client happy, but now I set the things straight from the beggining, if the client changes her mind: “Sorry, you should’ve told me earlier, now my next appoiment will arrive and I don’t have time to fix it for you, next time let me know earlier about any changes.” My time is valuable too as anyone else’s. 👏🏼

I am the opposite of picky. However, when I bring pictures they never can do it and they say I’ll do what I can do and I always leave not getting something even close to what’s in the picture so I don’t bother anymore! OK happens every time.

That’s not picky, that is high maintenance! Clients like that I require they make up their minds before I start, and then I hold them to our agreement. I’ve fired a few. Your work is flawless and thorough❤️
@CreatedByNoriElan
@CreatedByNoriElan 2 года назад
How do you fire them? I need to fire a few clients! It sucks because it's a group of 3 women who are friends. Only 1 of the women treats me well and abides by my rules. The other two are rude, late, picky, want to negotiate prices and never tips! I feel as if I would have to get rid of all 3 instead of just firing the 2. It is going to be awkward!
@studiogirl1967
@studiogirl1967 2 года назад
@@CreatedByNoriElan I’m a color specialist. The folks I’ve fired throughout the years I have simply stated that I felt I was no longer a good match for them and that they will be better served elsewhere. Nowadays you can do it by text, but if you’re down for it I would call. Its difficult, but it shows power and respect. Thats pretty much it. Usually the reaction is one of total shock and disbelief. Rude, picky, late and no tip? NEXT! And the price negotiations? Hell no. You do not need that kind of bs in your life, professional or otherwise. Let the third one decide on her own what she will do. Chances are she will stay with you. Be a kind Bosslady who merits respect and you’ll be so much happier, trust. Good luck, and let me know what happens!

@@KateandBreeRespectfully, I think I'm being pretty professional taking into consideration how rude some clients can be. *I chose not to be rude* even though they don't deserve it. Well, from a few videos I think it’s around 40 minutes for the average client. If we assume she takes one every hour or so, she has prep time and time to do her client’s nails. She’s highly skilled though so if you want to follow in her footsteps, maybe add another half hour to the total time just so you have time to fix any mistakes should they happen!

I admit, I have been indecisive once or twice but I am always incredibly apologetic and I tip handsomely for being a pain. Sometimes I just never know what I want and I get my nails done so rarely. I usually let my mom's nail person pick everything (but he knows the length must be short as I ride horses) except color as I'm so indecisive. He's very good and knows to never let me put my hands by a fan or I'll ruin a manicure as I'm even clumsier than my mom. Ah ha ha ha ha....

You did a really beautiful job - very skilled. Your client needs to realize that these are only nails, and she will be back soon to get another design. I mean if you did poor craftsmanship, then, yes, she has a reason to complain. She should look at some of the nail Reddit boards to see what some people walk out with.

I use Madam Glam topcoat for this reason...it can handle it self 3 coats over before pulling back. If a special topcoat is needed (stain proof hard gel topcoat), you are stuck with pullback if you attempt a second layer. For most clients, I push the art saying "I'll wipe it off if you don't like it" and seal it with MG topcoat for a second time because they always love the art. 😄

You did an amazing job on these nails considering she waited so long to come in and get her nails redone. The client has the right to change her mind however she should have trusted your judgment as you see she didn’t like the white glitter gel then she did, you suggested the design for photos and she didn’t want that but after seeing it she ended up liking it. She seemed indecisive 🤷🏻‍♀️ in this appointment maybe next time show her the color and design first before doing her nails and maybe she’ll trust your judgment next time around. Nail cou lost a bet and had to go to the worst rated nail salon in the area and yikes was it bad! Your clients are so lucky to have a nail tech that knows her stuff and actually cares. I think people want something for free so they try to act disappointed and get things like a nail service for free.
