What are you talking about?,there's a fatty,a girl the look in her late thirties and an asian looking girl portrayed as Manson girls. All Manson girls were skinny, white and young
@@Royo2013 Not Manson; Clem something. One of the murderers in the group arrested at the murder after Sharon Tate's, so this was Tarantino giving him his fictional payback here 👍
He’s a man, in the most basic sense of it. If we left the cave and build the cities it was because of people like him, or men who were trying to be like him.
Pussycat & her hippie town were all using George for a place to stay since he was completely bedridden, so they wouldnt have to pay for pretty much anything other than food & drugs (and weapons at the pool scene)
seeing this again, I realize I was wrong to fear for Cliff's wellbeing during this scene. He would've have fucked up Tex and Manson himself if they had shown up too.
Kenneth Bryant Absolutely. Especially Manson. With the the mystery surrounding Manson, people forget he was only 5 feet tall and skinny like a twig. A drunk teenager could wipe the floor with Manson.
Cliff is the definition of masculinity. The calmness and self confidence in himself and his actions. Like you feel that he is untouchable and get things done.
He is vary stoic and even tempered. Times it would make sense for you to see him full of anger. Nope he controls it masterfully. Does not hesitate when it's go time.

I’m not American so I don’t really know about the hippie culture, when them hippie girls yelling that literally made me burst, like wtf this sounds so absurd.
Cliff is the best character in the movie Brad pitt is brilliant, him and Leo’s chemistry was amazing, I went to see this movie 3 times in the cinema, it was hilarious
For those of you that are wondering why cliff is so confident and secure of himself,he was a green beret in the war,he’s literally a master at killing and warfare,a couple of hippies and crazies from a cult doesn’t scare him
Do you think being a green beret makes you superhuman? If 20 people charge you it doesnt matter if you're an army ranger you're still getting your ass beat
i remember him mentioning that in the commentary purposely drove with the actor who played the cop in the trunk while he went to get fast food and driving through speed bumps, while he actor was yelling in the drunk "what the fuck are you doing".
Probably one of the coldest characters in the Tarantinoverse. Dude will not think twice when it comes to killing other than regretting he killed his wife.
What I love about this scene is that it shows how ballsy Cliff is. He's being faced down by what looks like about 20 hostiles yet he doesn't so much as blink. It sets his character up beautifully for the end of the movie.
I like how serious Cliff is about his job. Even though he's more like a friend to his boss. He still respects to job and his boss. " this isn't my car it's my bosses and if anything should happen to it. I'll be the one in trouble."
I think it's about consequences. Obviously Cliff knew why the hippie did it but he is telling him that what you did wasn't towards me as the car isn't mine. And gives him the opportunity to correct his mistake. The hippie didn't get the moral of the politeness offered by Cliff and was punished for it
For those of you who said Cliff deserves his own movie, which he does, if you read the book you’ll want it even more. They add so much depth to his character, particularly how much of a pragmatic killer he really is. I would love to see that movie.
Some people were upset with Cliffs depiction in the book but I just thought it made his character much more interesting. Tarantino is great at writing morally questionable badasses that are also very likable.
Absolutely. His backstory with brandy and the friend who owed him money and his date with the girl who is connected to mobsters would have made great scenes in a movie
anyway it doesn't matter, Brad Pitt is brilliant in this film, so is Leonardo DiCaprio, all the actors are great, excellent film, one of the best I've seen for a long time.

Once I was out with a friend on motorbikes. We stopped for a break, where an asshole jogger tried to move our bikes (we weren’t in his way) and I had to stop my mate from kicking his head in. Don’t. Touch. Another. Mans. Vehicle.
Agustin Camejo I had to rewatch it to catch the boat scene, and I can see how it’s left open to assume he killed her because she was being emotionally abusive towards him but we don’t know for sure
Cliff is one of Tarantino's best characters. Dude is the perfect blend of charming and terrifying when he needs to be. Beats the living shit out of Clem and doesn't think about it again, he's thinking about getting that pizza with rick lmao
I would loved to have seen Tarantino do a cop movie with Brad in the lead role as a no nonsense cop. We have not seen a movie like that in a long time.
@Kelly Ann Harbor Would you not like to see a nonsense dirty harry movie in the style of tarantino with Brad Pitt? That would be cool as hell. Brad is a really cool actor and the role of Cliff showed that to be the case as have several other roles he has starred in including Tyler Durden. What have you against the idea?
@@bighands69 One of goofy Tarantino's flaws is that he really hates cops. He was front and center in the BLM/Defund The Police beginnings, so f**k him on that score.
Right?? The first time I watched the movie, I thought it was good and on par with past Tarantino flicks, but as I watched it more and more, it got better and better. Now everytime it's on, I HAVE TO watch it, LOL
I bought the 4K special collectors edition of this movie and a nice 4K steel book version of this movie so i didn’t have to open the collector’s edition one
Quentin showed great restraint by not panning up from the girls feet, great acting by the women to pretend they were hating Brad Pitt.. all round great scene.
The "Hippie" is a portrayal of Steven "Clem" Grogan, a member of the Manson Family who participated in the 1969 murder of Donald Shea. Shea was a ranch hand at Spahn Ranch who had also worked in Hollywood as a stunt man. Having Grogan get his ass kicked by a fictional stunt man perfectly encapsulates Tarantino's recurring themes of poetic justice and irony.
Funny, how he sounds so much less high after having the stupid punched out of him, I mean he saw Cliff walking right up to him, what did he think Cliff was going to do, shake his hand.
@@t-rexcellentreviews1663 his silly girly rabbit laugh he gave Cliff for answer already spoke to Cliff that he was like many, a coward who just is too used to bluffing and goofaw, that mostly works at intimidating only women and middle class senior citizens. Anyone from the hard working class would have just done as Clifton there, just drag him by his goldilocks and wake the s#it off him on his Bear bed, or keep mopping the decks with his own blood until cleaner.
Sitting second to the front row; that first punch was like a thunderclap from the theater sound system. What an experience. This movie accommodates the big screen & surround sound very nicely.
I just noticed that at 2:59, all the girls are looking at the hippie dude and feeling bad for him except the red hair girl is staring at Cliff, who is in the final fight against him. Neat little detail
