When I heard Cliff Richard's debut single "Move It" on 29 August 1958, I new from the first tone of his voice he will become a star! I can not hate you

Elvis was unbeatable as an entertainer or as an interpreter of a song and he in almost every way was better than the original songster; think for example Frank Sinatra’s rendition of My Way or little Richard’s rendition of Long Tall Sally, However, cliff Richard’s rendition of The Twelth of Never was the best of all. I will throw in one caveat: Elvis’s version was an impromptu recording and was not developed by him and I suspect had Elvis done a developed serious recording he would have nailed it and done it better than anyone - including Cliff Richard.

Absolutely love this song and Cliff's version of it is always the best, but I never liked what he done here. Why take a great song and mess around with it. Sorry Cliff, I never criticise you, but this is one time I don't like the modernisation you did to this classic ballad. Leave songs as they are meant to be sung.
