I really think we need a brand new documentary about Cliff and the Shadows - people need to see how brilliant they were......still are! There was great British music before The Beatles!
That’s amazing performance- I am in Hong Kong. Cliff is the very first western singer that I have known. Years later, when my English teacher requested us to submit our English name to him - Cliff - had come to my mind instantly…. So I have been known as Cliff ever since!

He’s really amazing that I can’t explain what’s in his voice that will make you listen again and again. You just don’t grow tired listening. He’s one with a class. One of the best performer on earth. He’s one singer you will respect, admire etc. He’s my forever favorite.
I was born on 14th Oct 1964 and so I didnt get to attend this concert. But 14 years later he has been my fav singer till today and am glad we share the same birthday too.
The young ones is one of the best songs by cliff and shadows, nice lyrics and backing is great , that little guitar riff by hank you hear after each cliffs line is awesome

Yes, what an extraordinary combination of a fantastic singer backed-up by the very best groep there's ever been. When they were playing live at 'just' a cinema in the very early 60's in Watford, I was literally blown away by the absolute perfection of everything. The first half was The Shadows (in original line-up) by themselves; the second half being Cliff Richard and The Shadows together. The sound was full and magnificent, really out of this World so good !!
I was only 7yo when I heard his songs . My older sister are fans of him. What a versatile talent , I’m a fan as well. I went to see his concert in Hunter valley, NSW just to see him in person❤️
I will never get tired of watching this video. Sir Cliff’s voice is so easy to listen to… never strained and always pitch perfect! He’s got one of those voices that doesn’t age! Love the backup vocals by Hank and Bruce too.

He was Heaven sent 💖 An aspirational role model to me and many to live a clean life and be true to oneself. My favourite album of his is ‘When in Rome’ His dialect when singing in other languages are second to none - there is nothing he can’t do or won’t have a go at - inspirational 😌 I have a Dad whose never been interested in me or my siblings (oh yes we’ve tried over the years) Growing up Cliff he was like in the distance a constant’ role model, along with my tremendous mother and late grandparents - I wish she’d met a man like Cliff he’d have been a great dad x My Grandchildren think him great too 💖 I’ve been fortunate to meet him twice at signings and close to the stage for one concert x For those who’ve never met him ... you sort of have because he is just as he is on TV, films and in books he’s written. A very down to earth decent man X

When I was 7 years old I packed my suitcase to go and find Cliff in London. Then I heard the song “London’s not too far” and knew it was written just for me. I never have met him live but there’s still hope!
Thank you so much Cliff. This was the only time I saw you live in all my lifetime. I was nearly 16 but I'll always remember that wonderful performance full of joy and with your boys the Shadows. A dream come true.
At tis time l was 5 years old ! I found Cliff Richard in 1969 when he come here in Romania like guest star in Brasov at the " Golden stag" festival ! I knew only " Congratulations " and liked it very much the song and the young , beautiful Cliff Richard! This songs from then the years 60'70 are very beautiful too ! I fell in love with Cliff's music when I was a teen in the '70s. A lifelong Elvis fan, I was so taken by his music and stage presence. I own most of the music he released. I was so fortunate to see him in 1981 when he came to Chicago. I've been to numerous concerts through the years and that concert still remains number one on my list. He is such a charismatic performer. I love that two of my favs, Burton Cummings and Rick Springfield, are also fans of Cliff.
