It’s crazy how a song can instantly take you back to a specific place and time. This song started playing in the U.S. just before Christmas of 1979 and was all over the radio in January and February of 1980. I was eight years old and can still remember what I was doing that snowy winter as this song played in the background.

Susan Sams who I have not seen in over 40+ years now. each time I hear this song i am reminded of her through the long grey mists of time but the real heart break is i do not even have a picture of her, just a memory of a dark brown haired girl with beautiful brown eyes.

Used to think that life was sweet. Used to think we were so complete. I can't believe you'd throw it away. Used to feel we had it made. Used to feel we could sail away. Can you imagine how I feel today. Well it seems a long time ago you were the lonely one. Now it comes to letting go you are the only one. Do you know what you've done. It's so funny how we don't talk anymore. It's so funny why we don't talk anymore. But I ain't losing sleep and I ain't counting sheep. it's so funny how we don't talk anymore. Well it really doesn't matter to me. I guess you're leaving was meant to be. It's down to you now you want to be free. Well I hope you know which way to go you're on your own again. And don't come crying to me when you're the lonely one. Remember what you've done. It's so funny how we don't talk anymore. It's so funny why we don't talk anymore But I ain't losing sleep and I ain't counting sheep. It's so funny how we don't talk anymore. But I ain't losing sleep and I ain't counting sheep. When my mum was 15 she went to one of his concerts here in UK. He reached out and touched her hand and she refused to wash that hand for a week :-). Many years later as her son I am also a fan of Cliff

We had rhythm and the songs had real words. The beat grabbed your soul and the rest was history

Same here. What is it about this song and cliff in general? Gets me every time. I was about the same age as you when I first heard it. Didn't know who he was back then - lived in america. Re "discovered" him five years ago and bought a ton of the rest of his music. The guy's awesome.

We Don't Talk Anymore Cliff Richard Used to think that life was sweet Used to think we were so complete I can't believe you'd throw it away Used to feel we had it made Used to feel we could sail away Can you imagine how I feel today? Well, it seems a long time ago you were the lonely one Now it comes to letting go you are the only one Do you know what you've done? It's so funny how we don't talk anymore It's so funny why we don't talk anymore But I ain't losing sleep and I ain't counting sheep It's so funny how we don't talk anymore Well, it really doesn't matter to me I guess your leaving was meant to be It's down to you now you wanna be free Well, I hope you know which way to go You're on your own again And don't come crying to me when you're the lonely one Remember what you've done It's so funny how we don't talk anymore It's so funny why we don't talk anymore But I ain't losing sleep and I ain't counting sheep It's so funny how we don't talk anymore It's so funny how we don't talk anymore

@Kokwah Tan I grew up in Maine which is a tourism state so summers were a blast. We swam, boated, water skied, would have large street dances, no violence, just lots of fun. We often say how fortunate we were.

College: So easy. No bills, enjoying college life, partying. Then.... Welcome to Adulthood. Children, health care, bills, work. Then........ we play Cliff Richard and reminisce about the college days.

Cliff ! One of the best ever. Great performer, fantastic vocals, and no auto tune. Imagine that !! And a quality Christian guy. Today's artists could learn an awful lot from him. Music and artists like Cliff are near non existent today. I feel very fortunate to have been in my high school and young adult years when Cliff was putting out this great music ! My son is 26 and loves the great music of this era too. Most of Today's music is so lacking when compared to this. Sad.
