The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. ⁠@@justingary5322this is not sarcasm nor is ir judgy, but could you give a more precise and clear explanation of your points? i am an atheist as i personally find the idea of a deity ridiculous. this is because of the fact that for a deity to come into existence, a major event must occur. now of course nothing is ever absolute or impossible but a deity with a consciousness seems a lot less likely compared to an explosion of particles that were previously endlessly floating in the universe. although the odds were near impossible, i feel that the theory of the big bang makes the most sense. and from what i could understand, a part of ur argument states that the theory of evolution is ridiculous. how? creatures of olden times evolved and adapted to their conditions. current human bodies also do evolve (for example, younger children are more likely to get glasses because the human eyes have adapted to screens resulting in them kind of prioritising near sighted-ness.)

@@valinorean4816 well, considering that Christ appeared to over 400 people after he resurrected and all who have given eyewitness accounts, it's impossible to say that the Romans "staged it"... People will go to any lengths to try to disprove Jesus Christ. The evidence is irrefutable and overwhelming. My whole point is that it must be extremely difficult to believe that nothing created everything. But keep searching, keep asking questions, and read the scriptures. There's a lot of talk in the States at the moment about the need for the 10 commandments to be placed in schools. Half of those pronouncements have nothing to do with moral values, and even the one's that do aren't objective. eg: I can think of lots of situations whereby lying would be the more moral option.

How telling that if Christian soteriology is correct the most important factor that differentiates those deserving eternal paradise and those deserving eternal torment is the geographical location one is born into. If one is born in Saudi Arabia there is about a 95% chance that you will belive in the "wrong" God and reject jesus and thus receive eternal damnation in a lake of fire. However be born into America and magically there is about a 95% chance that you will believe in the "right" God and thus receive eternal salvation. 👏👏 Allegedly this is the justice of a perfect omnibenevolent omnipotent omniscient loving God. The fact that many people who reject jesus often lead devout pious lives and follow very strict and demanding religious practices with regards to worship, diet, clothing and relationships is not a factor, these people seemingly reject jesus because they *"want to sin"* 🤔🤫 Some live lives of isolation and quiet contemplation taking vows of celibacy and silence but the loving jesus still deems these people unworthy of anything other than eternal torment. Conversely however a murderer so long as he truly repents and accepts Jesus on his death bed he can spend an eternity in paradise with those he murdered. Unless of course those people also found the "evidence" for your God unconvincing, in which case the murderer would be looking down from paradise on the people he killed as they too suffered for eternity with me 😡

I don't think we are JUST _"matter and energy"_ dear. The evidence indicates we are extrodinary, the product of billions of years of years of evolution, success and failure triumph and disaster. We have a brain that enables consciousness, abstract thought, imagination and possess the ability to reason and empathise with others. We are sentient self aware pain and emotion feeling individuals capable of love or hate, incredible acts of altruism or depravity. It's how we navigate through life and these potential extremes that define us, not our belief ( or lack of ) in anyone's "God" Our aformentioned consciousness that gives us the ability to reason and gives rise to concepts like morality and beauty is an emergent property from the electro chemical interactions of billions of neurons within a physical brain, the scientific evidence tells us, its as simple as that. If logical reasoning is not the result of chemical interactions then why can alcohol or other chemicals inhibit or enhance our ability to reason logically ??? 🤔🙄 If you want to claim that such interactions are incapable of creating metaphysical concepts like morality, beauty, altruism, reciprocity, love, equality ect and that they can only arise as the result as a result of "creation" from your "God" then one also has to believe that concepts like ugliness, hatred, immorality, jealousy, racism, evil, bigotry, depravity, must also have arisen as the result of said God's "creation" 🙄 Regardless, I fail to see the relevance of any arguments from incredulity or ignorance in a discourse about morality. I see so many of these debates on the Internet but yet a simple explanation is that God is real but so is satan and God wants us to have that relationship with him but satan is trying his best to keep us away from god.ultimately it comes down to choice

@@adamdonald9609 As a Christian, I totally agree with that statement. However, it wouldn’t be a sufficient argument for many atheists. If they deny God, they deny the devil and his works, so why believe that such a being is blinding them.

Your "faith" is no more reliable or valid than the faith used by followers of Zeus, Thor, Allah, Buddah, Mithrah, Dionysius or any one of a thousand other man made "Gods". Depends where you pierce and for what reason; glorifying the body, decorating it for an idol (signs and symbols), focusing on/worshiping it like an idol, identifying with it... etc may indicate that you place your body/self or something else, above your God in priority. Sure there is Leviticus and tatoos (idol worship) and cutting (funeral mourning practise) = that law was likely intended to discourage pagan practices and ensure the Israelites were separate from the others. We now have Christ = suggest care is taken in selection of location and jewelry type - Christians are representatives for Christ.

You present the false dichotomy that without YOUR SPECIFIC SUBJECTIVE GOD there can be no moral reference standard and all things somehow become permissable ( shakes head in disgust 🤬 ) this is not only false its *DEMONSTRABLY FALSE* Can you name me some countries or societies that regard murder, "gr4pe" theft, as moral and legal actions ??? No of course not, but why ? for according to your reasoning those societies that do not adhere to YOUR GODS moral dictates ( other religions, and the atheistic, secular ect ) should be examples of depravity and lawlessness, yet this is plainly NOT the case and It would be a demonstration of hubris to assert otherwise.

You do know that there have been many studies to assess the religiosity of societies in comparison with their number of murders, "gr4pes", abortion, D use, single parents, even wealth and health don't you ? 🤔 America dispite being one of the most christian countries in the world has the HIGHEST prison population rate per capita anywhere in the world 🤔🤔🤔 It also has amongst the worst results in many of the above categories. Yet those we regard as the most atheistic secular ( the Scandinavian, Sweden ect) score much much better and are amongst the best in those same categories.
