HOLY SMOKES! Mad respect! That hunt was INSANE! So happy for these guys. And the video work was excellent; especially under those brutal conditions. Great edit! Well done.
You guys are nuts to hunt in such hard conditions, and must be so tough to do this....guess that makes you tough nuts. Seriously - this Aussie has hunted going uphill in snow (in New Zealand) & I remember how absolutely exhausting it was. So props & respect to all of you. You need some snow camo.. hahaha.Fantastic camera work... the forgotten third member. Great post production. What camera did you use? Fantastic trophy. As the years roll by those heads on the wall are all you have left - but the memories never fade. Well done!
As much as these hunters are fucking beasts for doing this hunt. The fucking camera crew are insane. Carrying cameras and batteries and laptops and all that gear just to capture this. Shout out to those guys
Awesome hunt guys!!! I've been fortunate to harvest a bighorn in Alberta. Shot a 170 with the rifle at 50 yards back 15 years ago. I feel like I won the lottery that year. Some of the toughest hunts you can do. It's always hard looking for that 4/5ths curl. Unreal with the bow.
How do you keep your pump water filter from freezing? Do you sleep with it and keep it close to your body during hunts or do you just try to drain it as best as possible and hope it doesn’t freeze?
Finally a Video with some real hunting, no bullshit! Shooting at subfreezing temperatures after that hike has to be respected! Question: Folding or fixed broadhead used?
Hike up there in summer all the time 10 min drive from my house. Lots muleys WT and sometimes elk lower. I bow hunt here in my back yard all the time. Just haven't done sheep.
I always respected bow hunters. Bow hunting is so much more difficult "trust me I tried it" which is why I look at bow hunters as true hunters. 👍 no crazy 200 to 300 yard shots. If your doing all that why even wear camo lol bow hunters even up playing field and I Repect that to the Max
Good hunt. Congrats. I thought in Alberta you can wear white camo? This would have made more sense. Might as well as just wearing regular hiking clothes.
Probably too much up and down elevation to be useful. But maybe if they have a long, flat trail in and out just for access in the valleys. But even then you'd still have a lot of ups and downs.
Hey hoyt archery why did u stop selling bows to my favor local bow shop because he didn't sell enough zolume? I've only ever shot hoyt ive been loyal to u but might switch because of this
Helps when you have a cellular game camera at the top of the mountain, should be illegal. How is that fair chase? These guys just showboat and ruin it for the rest of us.
"Thanks for sharing the location! It sounds like a great area that has sheep and I will definitely check it out next year!" -The hundreds of hunters that are going to turn the trail head into a parking lot.
Completely overpriced bows. When I saw them up close the dip jobs were atrocious. Probably the reason you guys started just powder coating and painting them.
