This is the new Soarin? This is what Soarin is now? Wow....I'm actually impressed. I had no idea they changed and yet, I love it. I'm glad they added transitions as well (creative ones as well). I also liked how they replaced Magic Kingdom with Epcot. It seem more appropriate since you ARE in Epcot and it feels more like your going back to where you started. Great update!
Just rode the new version and let me say it was incredible. Keeping the preshow video with Patrick was the smartest thing they did. I think I am going to enjoy this for years to come. I have to say I miss the oranges.
When I heard Soarin' was getting updated, I was devastated at first. I knew the film needed updating, quality-wise and also because it was honestly starting to get a teensy bit stale after 10+ years, but still the score and the locations were just breathtaking, and as usual, when a ride changes, so does the music. Not to mention I had wanted my dad to see the original, score and all, at least once when we'd eventually get him down to Disney one more time. Let me tell you, when I watched this just now, and heard the original score at the very beginning, I immediately had to hold back tears. I had made my peace with the music being gone, and while it obviously had to change with the new footage _(byebye my dear orange grove scene >~
This is the only video I can find where 1. The Quality isn't too far off from what it's like in person and 2. Where 90% of the comments aren't *super* negative about the new music and CGI effects on some parts. I wish people could enjoy this ride for what it is instead of groping about how much they want the old one back. :(
Agreed. Without a doubt, the previous version is a classic, but Soarin' Around the World is hands down amazing! Incorporating and using the original music was key for me. Nailed it!
Don’t get me wrong, Over California was a breathtaking ride complete with the best soundtrack ever composed for an amusement park attraction. But this version is a worthy successor that really blew me away when I rode it. Far exceeded my expectations.
We should be grateful to whoever it may be - god, fate, our parents, ourselves, luck - that we are able to enjoy this world as a place of wonder, discovery and contentment, instead of the daily grind into the dust that is the lot of so many human beings out there.
I truly love this version of Soarin flying over some parts around the world, I still like the flying over California, but this has been my total favorite so far I love when it ends on Epcot

Wow fantastic quality and man I can't wait to see this my next trip to Disney. As much as I loved the original, it's great to see something new. Also noticed that the fire works shot off behind spaceship earth, form the outline of Mickey ears. Hidden Mickey's pop up everywhere these days lol.

Fun fact: the Taj Mahal scene as well as the Eiffel Tower is all CGI because Disney wasn’t allowed to put a drone that close. The animals are all CGI too
excellent quality. BEST on youtube.. I have a sony a7sII and my quality is exactly the same on this ride... Not sure if that's what you used to tape this... great job.
I just love the Music that accompanies this. I was lucky enough to ride this in 2016 on hols from UK.......Brilliant. Is the music score available please ???
How did you fix the distortion of the Eiffel Tower bending down like a goose neck?... and other TALL structures for the same matter?... For me, it is a horrible flaw in the new version of Soaring, and they never fix it!(I went there like two months ago)
Awesome video! If only a clean audio without people talking ALL the way through it...especially that annoying woman perpetually narrating & feeling the need to call out every location/landmark
Google Mail well he can't just suddenly be all "HEY! YOU UP THERE! STOP KICKING YOUR LEGS! IM TRYING TO FILM THE RIDE!" While this kid is having a blast flying above the world.
***** I don't mean to be negative as I have not seen it in person. However - the original (over California) was groundbreaking and amazing to experience. I'll be seeing it (Around the World) for myself in person next week and I'll update my opinion.
HarringtonTribal hope you will. Also, Soarin' Over California has tons of CGI, you just couldn't see at as easy because the camera quality was below par.
