NOTE - This is my new uploaded RoE teaser trailer. Sorry guys, I had to fix the RU-vid black levels from my original post. This one has the proper brightness levels and is a pretty big difference over the original.

Hi "Reflections of Earth" fans!!
This is a teaser video that show some of the new footage I have collected from 2018-2019 of the show. I will be making a brand new "farewell" edit to be released in the spring of 2020. I shot this new library with the best cameras and fastest lenses I could get my hands on! My goal to preserve this beloved show for generations, in the best way that I possibly can.
Keep a look out in 2020 for my final IllumiNations RoE 2020 Farewell release!

Your finished version will undoubtedly be the defacto standard by which I will remember this moving display of fire, lights and music. Reflection of Earth should be remembered as the best example of outdoor art ever conceived by Disney imagineers. Thank you for your efforts over the years in keeping this masterpiece alive in HD video format. My family wishes yours health, happiness and success in the years to come.

Considering the already excellent quality of the current Illuminations video, I'm definitely excited for the final and improved version! Thank you Cliff for all your hard work and the sheer effort and time that you've put into these videos because you've done a great job at capturing Illuminations perfectly for us so we can remember the best show at WDW in all its glory 👍🏻

Cliff, Thank you for doing this. us RoE fans are grateful for your time and dedication to this video. I was also at the last showing and you are correct, it was an emotional moment for all RoE fans. Still cant figure out why Disney would end this amazing show versus making upgrades to make it bigger. Somethings work and become classics. RoE could have been one of them classics. Anyways, "we go on". :-) Thank you again....have a great upcoming Holiday.

Hey Clif! We have watched this video so many times. Like you, Illuminations is VERY dear to our hearts! Still sad and still watch it with heavy heart. Why? Why take / change such a much loved something??? Why not change what we don’t love as much. Oh well. We are looking forward to the video!! Thank you so much for doing this for us all

@@ryanb8903 Same here. I was going to WDW once a month to a complete stop. So the 2017 video has helped all these months. But looking forward to the 2020 video. I am sure it will blow our minds! Stay safe everyone!

I know! These things take me so long to make because I can only put small amounts of time into them in a week. Whenever I have an hour of free time, I do a little bit. This thing is a Godzilla project, the new library is huge. Sifting through what is good, and what is not and trying to pick the best shot to cut into is a bear. PLUS!....with this show? I constantly second guess myself and I go backwards all the time. Hehe. This show gets more editing "love" than any other I have done. I'm neurotic about this one.

Thanks! I'm finishing up my "World of Color 2020" right now, which was a grueling marathon nightmare. It took me forever to complete. "Reflections of Earth 2020" is next on my list!

Cliff, you have such amazing footage! Thanks for capturing this for all-time. I love your insights and commentary about each shot. Can you share anything from the "Reflections of Forever" event? That was an amazing final day and some amazing stories and music shared.

I would love to relive this great day with so many who created Illuminations. Also, I see my brother and I made your crowd footage from the 29th in this farewell teaser! Its been started but it on pause at the moment. Just too busy with my job and other work for me to get moving on it. As you can see, I dont do very much with my channel in terms of sheer volume. But, when I do get something out, I put a TON of work into it. Its coming though...I recorded my intro for it two weeks ago and I have the shot list worked down from 50 angles down to the best 12. I upgraded my editing PC to a 12 core Ryzen 9, upgraded my editing drive to a 5TB SSD RAID 0 configuration and increases my PC RAM to 80gigs and upgraded my video card to an RTX-2080 Yeah....this ROE 2020 will be a beast of a project!

Shadows! Ok...this is nerdy. The original post used full RGB levels 0-255. RU-vid takes that and chops off the top and bottom, giving you shadows that are pitch black. I had to re upload a revised copy that has 16-236 levels. Now you can see the dark shadow s much better. Uggg....I wish everybody could see what the master files look like before RU-vid slams them. That's it.....brighter shadows on RU-vid.

@@CLIFFLIX I too was at the last showing of Illuminations. That last minute shower 10 minutes prior to the start had me worried. But I digress. I am really impressed at the level of control you have over the black level. And your commitment to make it right makes me anxious to see the final product. Take your time but please hurry. LOL. I recorded my raw version on the Saturday prior the last showing when the weather was absolutely perfect. Wind was from the NNE so no smoke issues. My viewing location was at the fence where disabled viewers are. Great location. Thank you for your dedication and the emphasis on these choices of events. They will be cherished. Cheers.
