The European Union has approved the landmark EU AI Act for the regulation of Artificial Intelligence, the hotly debated and first of its kind legislation in the world which will be applicable in the EU and beyond.
Dessi Savova, Partner and Head of the Clifford Chance Continental Europe Tech Group, speaks to BBC News on this very important chapter in the global AI regulatory history and the finalisation of the EU AI Act's adoption process after more than three years debating on what should be the right regulation.
This latest development coincides with the AI Seoul Summit that began yesterday following the high-profile AI Safety Summit at Bletchley Park in November 2023.
