Have you ever wondered what it would be like to climb Mount Everest, the tallest peak in the world at 29,029 feet elevation? Me neither…but I have wondered at what I am capable of and you know I love a good hike. This is why I am back for my second year with 29029 Everesting, a mountain challenge where I attempt to climb the equivalent elevation of Mount Everest by hiking up a 1.1 mile course with 1559 feet of elevation gain in Jackson Wyoming - 19 times 😜 What a doozy! I also finished 29029 Jackson and watching this brought back so many emotions. Without a doubt, it was the hardest thing I ever done. And people watching this have no idea how steep/vertical this is. It’s so brutal. Congratulations Jen!! You earned every bit of it! Amazing! Be super proud.

Putting strangers in a room is a huge liability so I was surprised when you said single rooms weren’t a choice. I mean it’s different if you choose to share, like hostels or room rentals within a home, but not having a choice seemed like a bad idea.

Not only do you challenge yourself, you also encourage others ( myself ) to challenge themselves in areas they want to improve personally on. I was thinking about when you where at the 14th time up, that it might have been what athletes call “the wall” and not just you not feeling well. The combination of all that. Anyway. Great accomplishment, again!! You are quite fit and healthy with stamina. The getting used to having a stranger as a roommate would be a hard no for me. That is not a social anxiety thing but rather being forced to cross necessary privacy boundaries that most without social anxiety would not tolerate. I never have even desired to share a hotel room with friends when offered. I being an introvert will socialize, but absolutely need time away from others to refuel.

Congratulations! It is cost prohibitive for many who might be interested however I have seen some challenges like this that are not organized events.
