I love Aloes and for the longest time could not keep them successfully...until I discovered the Climbing Aloe. This one has been super easy. Set it by a window...water once per month, twice in summer...and forget it.
I’ve had a climbing aloe for a few years and in the last few months I’ve been having lots of issues. What do you recommend I do if the tips are brown? I’ve reduced watering significantly and because there is a plant eating cat in the house I keep them in my room with a red/blue lamp thing because I don’t have the best light.
First and Foremost, all Aloes prefer to be on the dry side, as they are basically succulents and store water inside of themselves. So watering frequently is actually a NO NO. They are not yellowing from being overwatered they are in danger of root rot.
I would say to reduce waterings and allow to dry out a little bit. Now the other part. I have minimum success with Aloes inside UNLESS it is directly by a window.
