The Chee Dale Cornice
Rockfax Description
The left-hand side of the Cornice is one of the most impressive bits of rock in the Peak, although in winter it is difficult to see that it will ever give any dry climbing. When dry, the routes here give some great challenges. The central section of the Cornice is by far the most popular, with plenty of great routes in the 7a to 7b category. However, the best routes are on the elegant wave of rock which hangs over the path. The multi-layer bulges and steep walls provide some complex challenges, all in the higher grades. Further right is a lesser wall which also has plenty to offer at slightly lower grades.
The Jug Jockey 7c+
Rockfax Description
A roof climb tackling the big weakness in the centre of the long roof. Climb the lower wall through a right curving overlap to a rest below the roof. Swing out along the flake across the roof and make a hard pull onto the upper wall.
