Climbing La Concha from Refugio Juanar, return through Istán and Rio Molinos 

This is our favourite hike in Andalusia. It´s a long and intense walk, offering beautiful views on the sea, Marbella and the mountains around.
The tour begins at the famous Juanar Refuge. There are some challenging spots which could require light scrambling. Some parts are equipped with chains. La Concha peak is a perfect place for a break. The hike continues through Istán and the Río Molinos, which makes it quite a long but rewarding tour. If you are tired at the peak, it´s wise to take the same way back to Juanar. The Rio Molinos gorge is beautiful and peaceful, and looks very different from the other half of the tour. Be careful in the gorge during or after heavy rain.
