This video gives a first hand account of climbing Mt Gower and the steepness of the trek.
See untouched footage of the trail and the ropes to assist climbers and what the rocky terrain at the side of the mountain is like.
Mt Gower is Lord Howes highest peak, standing at 875 metres tall. Climbing is only permitted with the accompaniment of a certified guide. At present, two companies on Lord Howe Island can take visitors up Mt Gower:

Yes, it is in Australia, but it's not on the mainland. It's an island about 780 km northeast of Sydney :)

It is a beautiful place though isn't it :) I myself have not visited Lord Howe Island but I would love to. I did go to Norfolk Island some years ago and it was really beautiful :) Thank you again for taking the time to comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the climb itself :) Hopefully we will make better videos in the future :)
