it is so nice to watch this Wide Boyz series, as Pete comes out of puberty and matures, growing a tache. Even his voice now changing, becoming more intonated and deep with every new video. And the look of Tom Random at him, proud trad dad, knowing he did a good job in raising his child to trad-climbing glory. Just look at his face at @3:28 Marvelous.

I got mad love for the Earle too, awesome route he’s established here. Surely not ahead of his time though? 8c trad was cutting edge in 2015 (and still is) , a few people had done it and a few had done 8c+. Ahead of your time is surely reserved for things like Beth Rodden on meltdown in ‘08 or ‘qui’ and ‘open air’, ascended in the mid nineties and now thought to be 9a+.

@@derkinsdaemon Yeah, not really in terms of grade. I meant more how this sort of gnarly size crack climbing has become much more popular and mainstream lately. I think he'd be a huge name if he came up in the climbing world today.

This is now my favourite crack climbing video of all time! Everything, from hearing Mari's breath alongside yours as you place gear, to the roaring of the 'Merican V8 dune buggies or whatever the hell that was, as you climb through the pumpy overhanging section of the crack! I actually cried when you clipped that chain... I've never cried during a climbing video before... I'm not even a crack climber guys! Thank you for sharing this with us for we have vicariously experienced (in my humble opinion) some of the best, on the limit, technical, crack climbing performances of all time. P.S. Tom should definitely keep the moustache! Off to donate :)

The OMG don't blow the anchor clip face at @23:10 is something to relate to even if basically nobody can relate to this difficult of a trad climb. Amazing send though, my fingers hurt from just watching those finger locks on cold sandstone in the overhanging section to the anchors.

@@SpartaSpartan117 Project Rock. We have tons of permanent cracks of varying sizes in our concrete poured 60ft rope wall structures. There is a bit of horizontal roof with a probably 15ft long fingers crack through it outside of anyone’s ability.

lovely video and inspiring climbing, as always. really happy to see the fundraiser component: my partner was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer just a couple months ago, and we've got a fighting chance precisely because of relatively recent cancer research developments that have _dramatically_ improved the methods of treating this type of lymphoma. cancer research makes such a huge difference in peoples' lives! y'all's videos always cheer me up, but to see you fundraising for such a good cause really lifts the spirit also fwiw i think you both look fan-tash-tic

Tom has his dialed in for sure. Pete has similar brown/blonde mix to as I do. I have more blonde in my brows and beard. My beard has some areas with more blonde some with more brown with my goatee having significant blonde highlights Pete should grow his out to see what it looks like.
