One of the best youtube videos I've ever seen. I've suffered from mental health issues after the death of both parents who I looked after. This was truly inspiring, It's my 60th next week and I've vowed (thanks to your video) to be more positive and throw everything into the time I've got left. Thank you very much.

I do have a problem with speaking out about my menthal well being with the passing of my dad 10 months ago and trying so hard to accomplish my own goals for my wife and 2 young sons. I feel alone in this battle that is called live or love. But when you climbed this mountain and i was watching this in my shed, i felt positive and motivated to do more energetic stuff. Fantastic. You have a special place in this world. The majority of people who end their lives are men. Please just talk. Samaritans, or in a lot of areas there is mh service 24 hour phone line. Also specific numbers for men. Just talk, it really does help. I am female. Have been there. I know it can be easier to talk to a stranger than to burden someone else. No matter how bad things are or they seem to be. Dont make a permenant decision based on a temporary feeling. Your videos bring emotion, be proud!! :)

I went for a 10 mile hike. Felt good first five miles. Body gave out and i had to press on back. Very sore. Soaked in sweat 95 degrees. Legs still almost useless for 3 days. 250lbs outta shape. Dont judge i know. Died. Blood sosked socks and underwear. Chafing. Thank God for tylenol and triple antibiotics

Brilliant effort you lovely man! That was very moving and inspiring. As for your final peak. Well I live in N Wales but to use one of your favourite words 'shithole'. Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa that is.I can't believe all those sheep queuing up to touch the summit. Especially as even in Snowdonia you can find so many mountains you would have to yourself. As for those who disliked the vlog. I'd love it if they had the guts to own up and say why, never mind do what you did. Cowardly C~~ts!!!

Jeez Haze. Snowdon?Barefoot?! With all that loose shale and scree? Painful?! Hung around that area a lot walking with parents when little, although from South Wales. Aged 15 doing Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition qualifier with army youth team circa 1977, they took us up to the top of Snowdon a hard way, not the pig track, never been all the way before, struggled my way to the top and discovered it was all concreted over with a cafe and a fucking train station! What? I could have just jumped on a train to get here?! Coming back down along a massive steep scree slope, following a trickle of water down as the most stable loose shit washed away path, slipped, put my hand out to try and grab something stable and my hand went straight through the most rotten dead sheep! Stuck with fright and stink and viscera, not a good place in which to find myself being a squeamish girly sort, tried to wash my hand off (which to begin with my only thought was to try and keep as far away as possible from me and even that didn’t seem far enough) in the trickle of water, then had to gird my loins, as it were, and continue on my way with mortified trepidation. Oh, happy days 😂🤣😂♥️

Since coming across your channel and Following you on the Cape Wrath Trail I've remembered how much I loved hiking and camping all those years ago and am now trying to get my mind and body to a place where I can try to do it again. I've started swimming again as it's easy on my arthritis and sciatica and am doing some mild core training in the gym. It's really helping with my mental health. I have started the swim 22 challenge for Diabetes UK and am 8 days in and 4.07 miles done. I'm saving up for some lightweight kit as what I have is far too heavy for me to carry now (car camping only) but I'm hopeful that by the time I have gotten some kit I'll be fit enough to take on a small hike and my first solo wild camp. (Hopefully I won't need a medic lol) Keep well, keep posting & keep up the good work. Luv&ugz Sue X

Very cool. I'd like to just go do the three peaks one day but bare foot.... that's a bit crazy. But definitely for a good cause. I thought of doing a second "show us your steak" challenge video but maybe I'll do a different style one similar to this. After loosing a good friend to suicide and helping a second friend out who I almost lost as well, I'm always willing to help out with mental health awareness. Maybe one day I'll jump onto a plane and go visit those three peaks, but for now I keep exploring my own backyard in Northern Ontario Canada.

Top man Hazy, I took a funeral for my friend (committed suicide) and fellow worker and spoke to a crowd that expanded well outside the Church. It was hard going as his kids were overwhelmed by grief. But in the end I focussed on the positive aspects of my friend and got everyone laughing including his children and several claps from the audience during the 30 minute speech. The Samaritans are fantastic in dealing with issues that can cause a person to feel there is no way out. We need more of them, and more of people like you. God Bless.
