The actual killer sorely underestimated this journalist. He is so incredibly focused on her as a threat he is barely blinking. He has the smug, glib attitude of a sociopath.
Basing on his actions from this documentary, he was on his defense mode and trying hard to act up like the bigger man than her which did not cover quite his facade. Also, in most occassions he was trying to cut her questions by answering very briefly and diverting a bit off the topic.
This woman deserves the noble peace prize for what she did and she deserves all the plaudits that comes her way. It just shows the kindness you put out to the World the kindness will always find away of coming back to you. This shows what guts this woman has and she has my total admiration and total RESPECT ✊ for what she did to save this man’s life is simply amazing and she is so very beautiful with a heart of gold she has. Keep doing what you are doing and girl you have a tremendous heart and a lots of guts to save this man’s life.
@@justinepaula-robilliard Should he admit to a murder he did not commit? The curved bullet defense is pretty solid and is very easy to present to a jury. The glove related evidence only backs him further. Now all he needs is a slightly competent defense to fight for him.

“Your friends are your future.” Has anyone else heard that? My grandfather drilled this in our heads growing up. He would tell us.:9 times out of 10 you are doing the same things your circle of friends are doing. If there into going to school getting good grades, it’s likely that’s your focus too, but at the same time if their low-life’s using drugs, breaking the law, it’s likely that’s what you’re into as well. Take a look at your circle of friends….”your friends are your future.” Words to live by!!! ✌️
I have drilled this into my son's head time & time again. My motto is "You are who you hang out with." If your friends are stealing, drinking , doing drugs etc then you are guilty as well even if your not doing it. Guilty by association!
@@jessicaking1877 YES!! That's the phrase I was looking for "Guilty By Association." My youngest is 16, I have to constantly remind him of this. I love your "motto" it's awesome and identical to what my grandfather used to tell us all the time. Thanks a bunch
Clinton Young has been released on $150,000 bond. He is awaiting a new trial back in Midland County. Turns out then DA Ralph Petty was working on the prosecuting the case and also moonlighting as a judicial clerk for that same trial. So the appeals court threw out the conviction. Hopefully things work out better for him in his new trial. Can’t believe he was 8 days away from being executed and now he is out in bond.
It always makes me cry to see innocent people take the blame and some even receive the death penalty. It has happened way too many times all over the world. It's heart crushing
@@theguitarsurgeon6213 innocent people are still locked up. and the other day a man in Pakistan was tortured and burned alive by some street thugs all because of ''blasphemy'' he probably didn't even do or say anything. Agree, Cholé. But the USA is the ONLY rich, fairly free and powerful country in the world: 1. that treats their citizen SO unfair and often cruel and systematic racists, 2. with that HUGE percentage of innocent people in jail, 3. who puts children in jail for LIFE, and 4. has that INSANELY corrupt, violent, and systematic rotten police force and unjust "justice" system - just to mention a few VERY serious problems. Sure, there ARE honest and fair cops and judges, but TOO FEW of them dare to speak out against their rotten colleagues!! As the cops (and their families) are in deadly danger if they do and are legal targets of their corrupt colleagues/chiefs and the powerful police union is almost ALWAYS on the corrupt, violent, etc. cop's side!! And many honest judges get fired if they too often go against the "wrong" (powerful) people! The USA doesn't often look at other countries to seek inspiration and knowledge about what works and what doesn't, regarding how to treat their citizens, but many democratic countries do look closely at the US, and use all the evidence of how the US' police force and legal system works as an example of how NOT to do!! I really, really feel so bad and so angry, a rich and powerful nation, could be such a great place to live for all, but a majority choose to mistreat a huge percentage of their citizens, and they are using violence, poverty, no health care, etc. to control people, not the least misinformation and lies. It's insane to watch and witness from outside. This pandemic has just been another bad example: Close to 1 MIO Americans are already dead, and a huge percentage for NO REASON, other than a few people in politics and media, want more power, more money, and they are literally KILLING innocent people to get more!! Not in 1821, or 1921, but in 2021, with ALL factual knowledge from all over the world available for almost all Americans! And most of it in their own language!!! It's as INSANE AND AS CRUEL as only ONE rich and powerful nation, again and again, shows us they can and will do whatever it takes to gain power and money for the few!!
Do not blame you. America is really messed up. You only have to watch the parkland 5 and trump wanted them all to die. Sorry its not the parkland 5 but I think you know what I mean. It was shown on Netflix and a film was also made, I think it was called Now you see us, it will make you cry and trump even paid 85 thousand dollars for an advert to condem them to a death sentence. 5 Innocent children
He doesnt deserve to be free, YET. but not death. extend the sentence by 10-15 years to max of 25-30. He seems to have humbled himself and with good rehabilitation and help once free would be a great worker. he might not have killed the men, but he was there and willing not to talk/rat.
Maybe I’m biased but that David guy just seems shifty to me. Considering he swore things happened as he said…first there are the bullet holes on the wrong side of the head (he seemed really surprised about that), and then at the end, where it said that he afterwards confessed to kidnapping Sam. What statements he made can you actually believe?!? Also, the dna inside the gloves was his, and there’s gunpowder residue on the outside. So, he didn’t just wear them because it was cold and his poor pawsies were delicate. I definitely believe Clinton Young more…
Can’t believe law enforcement is so quick to put a death sentence to someone without TOTAL PROOF and then there’s this other guy (David) constantly changing his story - u don’t have to be a detective, jury or judge for that matter to know that changes and inconsistencies in a story usually mean it’s a lie wow
And it shows what type of person he is by allowing an innocent man (well of this crime anyway) to go be put to death. All the glory be to GOD the truth came out
He was bonded out January 2022 ($150,000), but they indicted him again. This time, his bail is set at 5 million. It’s a crazy case. Also, if I were a detective on this case, I’d give all of those men lie detector tests. Even though they can’t be used in a trial, at least the cops would have a clearer idea of who’s lying and who isn’t.
Wow, when Page smiles as he hears where the bullets hit the victim it’s undeniable that he’s the killer in both murders and has zero remorse as well he thinks everyone is stupid that’s a true psycho path
because David Page has a dupers delight smile , he knows he is guilty and often times when someone is guilty of the crime they will display that type of smile because they think they have gotten away with the crime and they think they are fooling the person they are talking to
It makes me sick how many District Attorneys and police officers and detectives are willing to destroy a person's life just to get the conviction that they want regardless of actual guilt. I have a friend who is being tried for a crime of the sexual nature against his teenage autistic stepdaughter. When she was on the stand, she testified to exactly what my friend had testified to and said that Brian would never do anything like that to her. She been testified to exactly what her stepfather had said. The judge was Furious, clear the courtroom, and added two more charges because they had to list the first as never a crime. In her initial interrogation, she had already said that he had not done what the other two charges were alleging. It didn't matter. A corrupt Judicial System caused him to spend 10 years in prison, lose his fathering relationship with his children, which was his ex-wife's goal in the first place, and now have the rest of his life Tethered to a GPS and a restrictive curfew.
It’s scary to think that no matter what the evidence shows, it all comes down to how good your lawyer is. It’s like a game of poker I guess is the best way I can put it
@lunity1111 Closest to it would be Robert Durst, but that was three separate murders: second one he got off on (served time for abxse of a corpse, IIRC), was found guilty of the final murder and died before the charges/trial for the first murder he committed. He was free for decades after the first, which was his wife who's never been found. He never got the death penalty, but life in prison for the final murder.
This is one reason why I made it a point to not hang out with a lot of people when I was growing up. You don't know them as well as you think and you damn sure don't know what their intentions are, until it's too late. I went to school with such people and the majority of them are either homeless, addicted to drugs, dead or in prison now.
That smile on his face when she tells him the shots were to the left of his head was what did it for me. Once he smiled I knew he was lying. It's a natural response the body does when you are lying and someone catches you. That smile said a thousand words

You are so right. There was a cop, of all people, accused of rape that was asked to come in and give a statement and the investigator told him he was free to come with his attorney. Well, the cop said he was thinking "I didn't do anything wrong, I don't need an attorney. I'll just tell the truth." BIG mistake. He wound up doing 7 years of a 25 year sentence when DNA science started being used as evidence to clear him. DO NOT EVER talk to the cops without an attorney present. Even if you're innocent and you know it and even when the cops know it. They will still try to R/R you. If they can convict a fellow cop, what chance do the rest of us have?

The 'gun instructor' pointing a gun at the journalist multiple times is disconcerting. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals tossed out the capital murder conviction and death sentence of Clinton Young on Wednesday after it was discovered that one of the prosecutors in his case also worked for the judge. Young, 38, has been on death row since 2003, convicted of a Midland County murder in which he insists he was framed. But while his other appeals were pending, a new district attorney discovered that a prosecutor who worked on Young’s case worked for the judge at the same time, even drafting the court’s order to deny one of Young’s first appeals. The prosecutor has since retired and, this year, agreed to give up his license in lieu of disciplinary action. “Judicial and prosecutorial misconduct - in the form of an undisclosed employment relationship between the trial judge and the prosecutor appearing before him - tainted [Young’s] entire proceeding from the outset,” Texas’ highest criminal court ruled. “As a result, little confidence can be placed in the fairness of the proceedings or the outcome of Applicant’s trial.”
Happy to hear that! I didn’t believe the black guy cause he said that there were three guns and then said he had a gun also. So, now four guys with guns. Why didn’t someone give that guy a tissue, he was driving me nuts, wiping his nose with his hand. 🦋🦋🦋
She didn't though. His new trial is based on a technicality. Corrupt prosecutor I think this is great bt this is a shortened part of the whole documentary
@@HandbagDiva Yeah, that's sad. At the same time, prosecutors have got to know that they have a very poor chance of convicting him of murder this time around, two decades later. My guess is, and it's only a guess, they want to hold the prospect of another trial (and possible guilty verdict) over his head so he pleads to a lower charge and gets time served, and walks right away. This lets the prosecutors save face, and saves the state or county from paying out millions in a lawsuit.

He was executed in the gas chamber the warden wanted to get rid of the death penalty afterwards because he believed he was innocent. It is in 1987 and he was only 26. He said “well looks like no one’s going to call so let’s get it over with” they were his last words.
What is the name of the firearm instructor you interviewed?! The guy pointed a firearm at your head several times and fired rounds when his dog was downrange. This is honestly the last person i would consider taking a class from.

This is absolutely disgusting. It's so sad and scary how many innocent people get convicted while so many guilty people go free. The cops and prosecutors deserve prison time and should have to fund a massive payout. Poor guy. This Is far too common and one reason I don't feel comfortable with the death penalty.
This is the ONLY reason I'm not for the death penalty! Any of us can be caught up in circumstances and then be subject to incompetence. Watch out you you hang with.

This is not even the reason he got off death row. The reason is the Prosecutor was also working getting paid by the Judge as a Law Clerk. This is mispractice and is why the case was overturned. But he's being retried.
How horrifying to see a "gun instructor" aiming a gun at someone in casual conversation? I don't care if it's on 'safe' or not loaded. Any "instructor" should know this. I mean, this is day one gun safety stuff. Don't be this guy, if I was the reporter I would have gotten out of the car immediately. Edit: Wow. Also when he shoots the dummy with his dog right on the other side of it. What a muldoon!
This is the reason why i sometimes think Death Penalty ain't no good . We don't know how many wrongfully convicted people out there have died . Clinton could've ended up like them if this girl didn't meet him .
This young man is by no means an “innocent “, however that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t get a fair trial. This was anything but! I hope he is released and given a settlement. I can see him making something of himself and I pray he does. The victim doesn’t receive Justice either when the wrong person is convicted. Now his family has to relive this horror.
I have to say it and I mean it: This is by far the best True Crime Documentary I‘ve ever seen in my 45 years of age!!! 👏👏👏 The whole case of Clinton Young was a farce and Jessica Villerius (not a lawyer, a journalist!) proved that in 58 minutes and 5 seconds. Oh boy, I really love the state of Texas, and I know that they are very „spot on“ when it comes to high sentences for murder, capital murder, etc. But this time the DA and probably all the prosecutors did screw up big time! AND Clinton Young sadly had a good lawyer in his first trial. Thanks for making such a masterpiece @Jessica Villerious, you definitely showed what true investigative journalism looks like. An innocent man is being railroaded by the Law enforcement, DA & the courts, condemned to die for crimes he did NOT commit. This story reminds me of Michael Moore's documentary film EXONERATED, another innocent man who spent 35 years of his life on death raw waiting to be executed to only found out to be innocent & released free from prison, after some good people volunteered to investigate his case & exposed that all the false accusations & witness testimonies were fabricated by the police. It's too bad that the justice system is corrupt.
“I was on death row for over 20 years for a crime that I didn’t commit,” Young told Midland television station KMID in a telephone interview. “I had no physical contact with my friends or family. I was in solitary confinement for over 20 years … facing death. … Yesterday was the first time I hugged my baby sister in a long time,” Young said. “Just being able to touch grass and to look at the sun without looking through prison bars, I mean, man, it’s a blessing. It’s overwhelming,” Young told reporter Rob Tooke. “[I]t’s kind of hard to find the right words,” Young said. “I am still processing everything.” Evidence of Innocence and Prosecutorial and Judicial Misconduct
