In 2014, filmmaker Jessica Villerius met death row inmate, Clinton Young, who had been convicted of a double homicide and became convinced of his innocence. Her documentary ‘Innocent on Death Row’ exposed the weakness of the whole case, proving the shootings could not possibly have taken place the way the prosecutor alleged. These and other new facts, including serious misconduct by the prosecution, led to Young’s execution being halted just 8 days before it was due to take place. He is granted a new trial and freed on given bail to await his new trial.
Clinton was 19 when he was imprisoned. He is now 38. After almost 20 years of solitary confinement, how do you adapt to life outside? In addition, the strict conditions of his bail prevent him from living in the same state as his family and even going to the supermarket across the road from his house. He’s terrified of making the slightest mistake and being sent back to prison. He’s free but not free.
Watch the part 1 here: • Clinton Young: The Wro...

After the misconduct if the judge and prosecutors, his case should be dismissed with prejudice and the judge and prosecutors should be disbarred. They knew what they were doing.

I'm sure that between wanting to appear "hard" in case he does go back, and being locked into a young mindset, it's difficult to express. His childlike smile says more than words... @RebelHippieHoochieLlamaMama
Personal opinion: that he was in youth prison his demeanor is harder it doesn't fit his treats to have killed them both. Being as he was so young in the correction system he was likely taught the ropes in a professional street manner. He has the time under his belt in general population to have picked up as nessicary the more skilled and harder offenders: servial of the fittest; as for primal instinct when you pick off the dominant you have less chance of survival. Those types of killing are rookie/ hard up in life types.. possiblly narsasitic trates. a legitimate profile to have done so. (You maybe able to ask for a profile on both the co-defendants) I do believe his co-defendant murdered the second man after the 1st.. possibly trying to empress or build his reputation/ become stronger. He didn't account/ know the side effects and without a mentor he wasn't able to control himself and dug himself deeper and got himself caught. Being said with Clinton having g already served time it was "believable" for him to have done it. The DA putting an already known convect on death row implies alot for the service.. gapping whole to allow the death penalty to be implemented. And with every one else grouped together with the story it was a garented conviction. As I see it there is no plausible reason to have killed the man for his car for Clinton. Not his type of criminal. Poor guy just wanted to smoke a blunt.

I suffer from Anxiety...caused by tours to both Bosnia and Balad, Iraq...aka Morteritaville...his suffering surely is larger than mine...I don't know if he suffers from anxiety, but I wouldn't want to be in his shoes...because I wouldn't make it ...he is a far stronger person than me...

Good story. Let's not forget even though he got railroaded by a corrupt system, he was far from innocent. He helped put the body in the trunk and proceeded to travel with the guy which resulted in another killing.

The state just wants a conviction if you don't have the money you don't have the freedom.

I do not think we have the right to death penalty unless there is solid and I mean solid proof. I am glad that there is fairh

we really need programs to help people like him for after they get out so that they are less likely to reoffend due to trying to take care of themselves since they just toss them out of jail and say good luck we also need a reform on how we do things in the justice system so things like this do not happen again

We have the same thing in Australia, only here it’s called ‘Common Purpose’ it doesn’t matter if you’re the shooter or the getaway driver who never even got out of the car, you are charged the same.

See, the reason so many people are wrongly convicted. Is because of a big flaw in our system, right at the start of it all. That being the entire evidentiary process is still handled on the honor system. With nothing to protect defendants and "police the police". Basically it's left to a gamble that all people involved. Detectives, technicians, etc. Are 100% right, never make mistakes and completely honest 100% of the time. That's very reckless when someone's life is at stake. This opens the door for other types of misconduct. Such as this case and the situation with the prosecutor. Where omitting certain details is still lying.

Think about HOW many inmates have been killed that were innocent...I would hate to find out I helped convict someone that was truthfully innocent.

I love these women from the innocence project. They dedicated a big portion of their lives to help this man get his freedom. Even picking him up when he was released. I can see for sure the friendship and love they have for him. Such beautiful women to be there for this man. I’m so amazed by them. A complete stranger to help him the way they did just blows me away. I wish I could meet these beautiful women. They have touched my heart. Even more amazing to me is their not even from this country. This story really touches me deeply. These women were a huge part in saving Clinton’s life. Many blessings to you ladies. You have my heart. Thank you for this wonderful story. Touched my heart deeply. ❤❤❤

I cannot believe that after all he went through, he has to go to trial again!! Not allowed to live where his family are, can't go to the grocery shop across the street?? Why?? The whole thing should be dropped & those complicit put in prison! Can he not go out at all? This sickens me. That Page guy & his stupid smirks. He is so obviously guilty! What happened to him?

Im so glad he is out of prison but having an ankel monitor is probably just as bad as being in prison. You have freedom but then you dont. Either way its like hes still in prison. Im just seeing Clintons case and he seems like such a great person, very respectful and eager to stay free.
